Odin has stupendous fights and feats. Walker was toying with Captain Marvel, Thanos, and Thor as if they were weak feebs. The only reason they weren't killed outright was because he wanted to find Death to make her pay for dissin' him.

Team 2 is packing some power.

Aside from Mordru, no one on Team One really impresses me. Hell Phantom Stranger has done........nothing.

Gonna go with Team Marvel for now.

Probably Team 2.

Izaya can channel the power of the Source and could match Darkseid even in his "pantheon-busting" mode.

Maaldor was making Pre-Crisis Superman and Power Girl look like jokes and when he died (by killing himself) he created an entire universe.

Shazam held off the Spectre for a while

Maaldor can channel the power of an entire universe. Plus Mordru. Team 1, IMO.

Team 2.

Shazam was most impressive in his own realm and when he's prepped. Outside of that, he's not quite on the same level as the likes of Odin and Zeus. Phantom Stranger has a lot of implied power and the like, but in a combat setting, he also doesn't quite stand up to some of Marvel's. Mordru is a beast, but he's not going to carry his team to victory.

Don't sleep on Maaldor. He'd stab Zeus to death.

Unless Maaldor can single handedly make up for the relatively weak links of Ganthet, Shazam, and Phantom Stranger, I don't see that happening before Team 2 wins.

SHAZAM, PS, and Ganthet can hold their own, while Mordru sucks up all of Marvel's magic. AKA LO3W style.

Phantom Stranger managed to fight off the Spectre for a bit too and Spectre couldn't kill him, IIRC he was also able to hold galaxies in his coat.

Not really?

They're formidable to not be stomped, but overall, operate at a lower level than the likes of Odin and Zeus. Even Bor and Serpent, who are likewise not quite Odin-ish levels, do shit like destroy Mjolnir via being too durable or break Cap's shield with their bare hands.

And how is JSA Mordru going to absorb all of Marvel's magic? Will they just let him?

That's a feat any decent skyfather worth their salt can do, imo. Sure, they won't beat Spectre, but they can stave him off for a time, which was what Stranger did. And yes, while Phantom Stranger can't die, he can be defeated and knocked out (and turned into a mouse). The Odin Force is capable of creating pocket universes as well.

I love Phantom Stranger - at least pre DCnU - but he's not really good for versus threads. Supremely awesome character, though.

I think Mordru has a better manipulation of magic then Odin. He IS magic. I mean Mordru also absorbed a good chunk of Infinite Man's power, who is well above Odin. Also, he owned a 5-D Imp in John's JSA run.

He has greater finesse than Odin when it comes to magic in general, but doesn't pack Odin's firepower or his physical stats. I don't see Mordru managing to drain Odin in the midst of combat with a bunch of interference being run from both sides.

Didn't he tank an uber attack from SAHAM in the ROE? I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

He did, yes. It wasn't really uber, though, not to the same degree of Shazam when he fought Spectre. And there's the high end feats of Odin's to take into consideration (busting galaxies, effecting ever plane of reality, etc). But fine by me.

For individual matchups here, I'm thinking:

Izaya will take on the Serpent - Could go either way

Mordru will take Odin - I think Mordru has a slight edge

Maaldor will go after Bor - I think Maaldor takes it

Nabu (replaced PS with him) goes after Zeus - I say Nabu

Ganthet fights Uthana Thoth - Maybe a slight edge to U-T?

Shazam takes on Walker - Not sure

Well, Mordru takes out Odin for sure. We can both agree, right? Even though it won't be a walk in the park. Maaldor would cancel out Zeus or Bor or Serpent. That's 2 down. I think it comes down to Walker and Mordru.

BTW, I don't know Thoth's power level, so if you can explain how powerful, that would be cool. Phantom Stranger, Highfather, and SHAZAM can hold off Bor, since it's not like he has loads of feats, either. It looks a lot closer in my book.

Yes, he did.

People are really overlooking Walker here.

The guy had an Abstract like Lady Death running scared. He could casually own Thanos, which is actually better than what Odin did.

He didn't really have her running scared. She was just steering clear of him to avoid further hurting his feelings (I swear to God that's what it said on panel). But he pushed too far by torturing innocents (Rick Jones) and she put her foot down.

But yeah, he dropped Thanos with one blast I think. Odin and DP Tyrant himself didn't do that. He was literally toying with Thanos/Thor/Captain Marvel.
