This fight is based off of recent depiction of both characters. Who wins?

Namor easily...

Thanos still. The team (Fantastic Four, Avengers, GotG) that took on Thanos was > than the team (some Avengers) that took on P5 Namor.

Also note that the idiot Bendis was writing that issue.

Namor stomped his team though. It took plot to take him out and he also no sold a full fledged hammer shot from Thor...broke Rulk arm...etc, etc... The showings are different for both.

But my point is P5 Namor was fighting LESS than the Team that took on Thanos. Then right before Thanos could retaliate, the Elders of the Universe + the Stranger + the Inbetweener show up and BFR him.

Not the same thing at all.

Groot gave him a fight until they hit the ground. No one was able to do anything note Worthing to Namor at all. Hell, Namor was put in a worst predicament and was sucker shot in the back of the head by Thor (with a charged hammer) and still turned the tide. He was then sucker shot by Rulk, Thing, etc and turned the tide. If the hero's kept pounding on Thanos, he was done for and you have nothing to suggest otherwise. Namor tanked and reversed everything that came his way "except a plot" that aided in taking out the full PF.

He was not done.............at all. If that was the case the Elders + Cosmics wouldn't have needed to show up and BFR his ass before he genocided the Avengers/FF/GotG.

The heros gave him breathing room after seeing him puke up blood. What happened to Thanos, happened to Namor but the difference is, Namor didn't get the breathing room Thanos got. He lost teeth, gushing blood and the hero's was sympathetic. I would love for you to show me an instance where Thanos could've change the tide.

There were MORE enemies attacking Thanos, don't you understand that? Also before Thanos could retaliate, a HORDE of Cosmic Beings show up and tp him away.

Also, P5 Namor was owned by Prof X! You seem to be forgetting that little detail.

The only difference in my scan vs yours is we don't see Thor included in punching Thanos, they replaced him with Hulk. The other difference is, while these attacks were going on, Namor countered it "during mid attack" and broke Rulk arm whereas Thanos couldn't even stand and was gushing strawberry maple syrup out of his mouth. The heros kept attacking Namor and still got dominated whereas Thanos knees met the dirt "yet again".

I never said Namor was the best TP on the planet, but what I am saying is that Namor would tap that a**.

That was a poor showing of Thanos TBH. However if we are using this Thanos who happened to get out of the Cancerverse without a suitable explanation then this Thanos would lose badly. However the Thanos of 5-8 years ago would win. Barely but he would.

The only reason Thanos had a chance to say anything was because the team took pity on him and stopped attacking.

Phoenix Namor was clearly a fair bit more powerful if we use the heroes as a measuring stick.

The heroes were very clearly outmatched by him and it took Wanda's hex powers to finally beat him. Against Thanos however, once the heroes showed up, it was just one prolonged ass kicking.

I still don't get how bringing up Bendis has anything to do with this.

I don't like him as a writer as I don't like Austen, Liefield, etc etc.

Still if it's in continuity I accept it.

Bringing up that you don't like the writer doesn't change what happened.

As it doens't change that Preboot Batman shot Darkseid, Ares being killed by Sentry, Two Face receiving training from Batman and Deathstroke etc etc.

Is 100% correct. Essentially a foreshadowing of what is to come. The Avengers showing was only Thanos' initiation into the art of being Bendis'd..........
