He was beaten by the Suicide Squad. Apparently Superman and Helspont just jobbed to him... hard... like really hard.

Anyway Slade's Nth metal has been busted up by guys with class 2 strength and stabbed through with samurai swords. It is about as much use as his Promethium armor pre-nu 52, in so much that it is nothing but undocumented hype that failed every test it was put up to.
