Not really known yet. Kyle basically wields the energy of the white entity, right? And we saw Sinestro hurt Nekron with the power. Wait until we see more feats from Kyle. He'll definitely have more showings than Thor.

Do you know if the WL is permanent for him? IIRC they retconned his first meeting with Ganthet to Ganthet choosing him because he was the only one able to master all spectrums.
