No battle field removal. In character, full arsenal and full power and lethal intent right from the get-go. The stakes are highest, Thanos is fighting to please Lady Death by killing a hero who prevents death, and Superman is fighting to save all life.

Branlor Swift
Thanos one shots him.

Good luck with this thread staying open

Dolos
Thanos would need some more power out-put imo to do serious damage to Superman at these levels.

Especially if Superman is fighting smart, and utilizing his speed and augmented powers likewise. Superman's energy out-put via HV at this point would be above Superman Prime. He's easily better than Kal Kent.

JakeTheBank
Thanos, with a single blast, sent Galactus reeling.

If he connects with Superman, I'd imagine it would harm him.

Of course it would.

He has more than "stand still" though.

JakeTheBank
Well, you post made it seem like Thanos would need more power than the norm to be able to hurt Superman in this state.

Not to hurt, to one-shot.

Diesldude
Superman doesn't need the sundip.

Ah, okay.

I'm way more familiar with Thanos' durability and damage soak showings than his offensive output, so I'll let Bran or someone else (perhaps Quan? lol) take it from here.

Superman oneshots thanos.

Already been done and Thanos wins after a good fight.

Dolos
You see not enough points were brought up for Supes.

zeel
no BFR no prep, thanos will be forced to brawl with superman. under normal circumstance id put thanos above supes in a brawl, but as for sundipping I do not see thanos winning here without prep and some sorta game plan.

Superman would be just as lethal with a game plan. He's always been every bit as genius as Luthor. In this state he had several tricks up his sleeve.

JakeTheBank
Tbf, Thanos is both smarter and more cunning than Lex Luthor, though.

Dolos
Without prep, Thanos would find he lacks the combat intelligence that Superman possesses.

With this amp he was a cool, precise, calculating killing machine. A lot of that was due to his super-intelligence, his training from Mongul II, and his adapted skills in overcoming Imperiex Prime...BEFORE the sun-dip dramatically increased his power level.

Thanos wins, conclusively.

Poor argument for Thanos in this thread. You might as well state that Odin failing to put Thanos down for the count is proof that Superman won't even tickle Thanos.

Superman isn't fighting a clone. He's facing the real deal.

You can't make duplicate threads just because you're butthurt that insufficient arguments were made for your favorite character. It's against the rules.

Heavy implication is as good as proof when it comes to comics.

True that.

This is Rao Kal El's post from the other thread and deserves a repost here.

The brainiac he tore open was given strenght by imperix prime's power and superman had to physically overcome that power to do what he did. Insane!!

To characters that were defeating the justice league

but only capable to stalemate this guy

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu200/biensalsa/DC%20COMICS/SUPERMAN/Amped/th_ManOfSteel117p17_zps97714d53.jpg

then after the sundip he did this to that same character

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu200/biensalsa/DC%20COMICS/SUPERMAN/Amped/th_ActionComics782p07_zpsfc33fdd1.jpg

I guess the whole context behind and this:

http://i647.photobucket.com/albums/uu200/biensalsa/DC%20COMICS/SUPERMAN/Amped/th_ActionComics782p10_zps7e9f2660.jpg

is probably why people may imply the one shot, just a wild guess.

all under the same arc

lol @ kal queda

on a serious note, why not just bump the other thread than make this redundant rehash.

Diesldude
I put it here in case this thread gets bumped in the future while the other gets forgotten. Us SuperFans always stick together and think many steps in advance. You see you wouldn't have needed this explanation if you had our foresight.

Kal queda laughing out loud that NEEDS to stick

Duplicate threads are against the rules. Much rather you'd just bump an older one. Closing.
