He's either referring to fatverine or when Wolverine fought Death.

His healing-factor was more or less overloaded by hundreds of diseases at the same time. The bubonic plague was one of them. Even so he could still somewhat move and once the guy stopped pumping it into him, his healing factor took care of it. Unless the bubonic plague is being continuously fed into his system, I doubt it's going to do much
