Apparently Sly got Bruce Willis kicked. Calling him lazy and unprofessional.

Willis wanted 1 million a day for 4 days of shooting. Sly was only willing to offer $3 mill.
Christ how greedy does Willis have to be?

Kazenji
And now there's he's saying he's bored of action films

Esau Cairn
I respect a lot of actors who choose family over fame/film making....maybe it's time for Willis to focus on small scale films that are filmed locally to where he lives...

Kazenji
Before you enter grammer nazi mode.....yeah i know i screwed up.

Esau Cairn
I was willing to overlook it this time, Kaz.

Dude, what do you do for a living?
Not having a go at ya but you seem to have a lot of time on yer hands to catch movies on their opening days, not to mention the amount of links you post & knowledge of comics....

While the first was quite tame and underwhelming, the sequel was an fantastic enjoyable action romp, and I look forward to next one, as long as it has at least the quality of The Expendables 2.

He's probably responsible for designing the majority of the worlds internet forums. He gets a small portion of the advertising profits but he makes the most of his money from the porno sites he makes. He only does about four hours of real work during any given week and spends the rest of his time being a mascot his forums. At least, that's definitely what I think.

Kazenji
Only just noticed that post

regarding the links they're not that had to find.

have seen the first teaser. Army is bigger than before. Can't wait for the release of the movie.

Mel Gibson is in, then I'm in.

ShadowFyre
You know, the movies are not great, and some say underwhelming, but I was born in 83 and a lot of these guys are my heroes.I will continue to see them as long as they come out. I have met Chuck in Iraq and Arnold in Cali, both seemed like genuine good guys and I didn't feel like they thought they were better than me. I would really like to meet Sly and Li as well.

Psychotron
Arnold looks badass with a beard.

Kazenji
Yeah giving a R rating will give it a guaranteed success these days.

Lestov16
So you think gritty films should be neutered to fulfill box office expectations, that films should care more about profit than artistic merit?

Yeah, a PG-13 rating has effectively killed any interest I had in this film, which is a shame, because I really liked Expendables II (why? Because it was a r-rated bloodfest). Damn shame they have to wrap up a series with such potential on such a weak note.

Even if it was given a R rating, Do you really think it would've made heaps at the box office?..... regardless or it even maybe even being good or not

only certain amount of people go to see those sort of movies as it is

people have just become pussy-fied these days in regards to movies with R rating

i'm also wondering if when it comes to the dvd/Blu-ray release will get a directors cut version with it being uncut.

zeel
I like the expendables its nice to see a movie that's not litterd with teenage TITALATION and googoo gaggaa crap for a change. Its a nice change from constant reboots and film remakes. The expendables are ORIGINAL and the movie has heart. Stallone pays theses guys outta pocket and the old timers doing this film do the film to have fun they are not in it for the money. Hopefully someday some of the people criticizing this film will get this through their brain. As far as the film being PG-13 who the fuc cares it still can be a good movie. Not a huge difference between PG-13 and R anymore theses days.

Firefly218
I'll still watch it. Probably after I watch the movie I actually paid for #theaterjumping

I hope the script/story is better this time around. If only to make up for the watered down violence.

I'll still go to see Stallone, Statham, Li, Snipes, Schwarzenegger and Ford on the same screen.

Ridley_Prime
Honestly, the 2nd one prolly could've passed off as a PG-13 film itself without any further changes. I mean it was violent, sure, but didn't really have the kind of violence that the first one had.

Inhuman
Bout to watch this in a while flirt1

Inhuman
If you liked/hated the first 2 expendables then you'll feel the same way about this one.

Pretty much the same movie as the last 2.

Robtard
I'll be watching this soon, got my hands on a screener. I expect it to be a turd like 1 and 2.

Dreampanther
I thought it was decent. Admittedly, I enjoyed it for the same reasons I liked the first two (first one more than the second). I like senseless fun and action, I like the in-jokes, and I think that Sly has a great cast who don't take themselves too seriously. Favourite character in this movie: Banderas! At one stage I seriously considered casting him for a Deadpool movie laughing out loud

Lestov16
NVM what I said earlier. Just watched this at my barbershop. Definitely the best Expendables they've made. Everybody was great in this and it was action packed. Gibson was definitely on his A game. Ford replacing Willis was a good choice IMO. Snipes was awesome and clearly hasn't lost his edge. The young team were also enjoyable. All in all, it was a fun action-packed popcorn flick. I'll definitely be seeing it in theaters when I get the chance.

7/10

zeel
Would rather have seen gina carona in this then rousey but whatever.

Lestov16
Sad to hear the ubiquitous bad reviews about this. I enjoyed it a lot.

Kazenji
I seen it during the week and enjoyed it, Especially Bandares's character

as for the reviews they're in the same range as the previous movies.

Placidity
This movie was absolutely terrible with no redeeming features.

I enjoyed the previous two, but this was just stale. I wanted to fall asleep and that's saying a lot for an action movie.

Zack Fair
the movie was fun. The script was lol, the cgi cheap. It didn't take itself seriously. Banderas and Gibson were cool.

Really? It's expendables. This isn't the movie that is going to garner raving reviews. Although, I don't think people base their decision to see it on reviews. This is one of those movies that strives to have just enough story to justify all the action.

I wasn't a fan of the last two movies. However, I will say that I appreciate them. I think my biggest problem with the last two movies was the lack of character. It feels like to me that these movies set out to be classics. I don't think it's possible to consciously make a movie that will be considered,"classic". Everytime I go back and view the last two movies I feel so much potential that was lost. Each movie comes so close to hitting the mark but inevitably strays into mediocrity. When you consider the star power and effort that was put into each movie, mediocrity feels like a failure. As I claimed earlier, I feel that the biggest absence in these movies is character. Each star seems to be written to simply play stereotype. Granted, these stereotypes are realized well, we are never given a proper antagonist or protagonist that feels original. The best thing about the most memorable action movies, aside from the action scenes is an original relevant character. This is one thing that I feel the expendable movies lack. Each and every character come off so stereotypical that they feel generic.

The ironic thing is that the have great line up of stars and it goes to waste because it's an "action flick". They're relying too much on action and explosions and not focusing on a good script. This isn't transformers. Transformers had robots that kids love and drag their parents. This has a bunch of old men with muscles running around. They can't just rely on action scenes alone to attract audiences. TMNT has the turtles. Guardians has fun characters and word of mouth due to a great story. Expendables 3? Has a bunch of expendable old men.

Zack Fair
Shitty script. They focus on characters we don't care about. The special effects are shitty. TBH everything about it sucks. i still liked it as a b rated pothead movie.

We got 2 Get to the Choppa references. Mel Gibson made a sweet villain.

Kazenji
With this third movie Antonio Banderas made the movie better, If he wasn't in it it would've just been a shitty sequel.

Yeah, Expendable old men that should be able to carry a scene because they're veterans. These are movies that can't be appreciated until years from now. It'll be the opposite from real life, when you go back to a movie that doesn't hold up quite so well. THat's my prediction at least. The best thing about the last one was Van Damme

Even sweeter than the villain Gibson played in Machete Kills? lol

Flyattractor
I just assumed this would be another 80's style Man Action Movie.

Lottsa Big B's! Babes Bullets and BIG BOOMS!

And no sparkly little douches in girls pants.

The_Tempest
Gibson stole the show. Lesser props go to Banderas, Snipes, and Grammer.

The final fight was better than Van Damme vs. Stallone but was still a letdown. Sly's ego isn't quite on Seagal's level, but it's getting ever closer.

jaden101
Pretty rubbish. Liked the reference to Snipes being in jail and Willis being 'out of the picture'.

Apart from that, terrible.

"Another installment".

Soul-crushing.

Tattoos N Scars
Best so far to me. Mel Gibson made a decent bad guy, better than van Damme

Kazenji
Did you watch the Unrated Cut ?

Robtard
Releasing an R rated version = polishing a turd

Tattoos N Scars
No, I haven't seen the unrated cut.

Kazenji
Far as i know its only on the Blu-ray not sure if it makes the movie any better, Most likely not.

Aquitaine
I thoroughly enjoyed III.
Started slow with Snipes' break out and some exposition, but then it ramped up.
Do I care about more/less gore? No. The action kicked with or without it.

I missed Arnold in most of it, but when he did return, it was gold. More fisticuffs in E4 please though, like vs Bennett in Commando! Oh yes.

Plot? Thin, its action revenge, fine by me.
Bring on Ex4. I hear Brosnan is in it. Sly has mentioned Jack Nicholson too. Hmm, not sure what he'd do. lol

PaulReilly
It's been a long time since Expendables 3.....and all the rumors over the years of a 4th movie haven't happened yet. It's possible the only sequel we'll be seeing is the new comic book co-written by Sylvester Stallone called "Expendables Go To Hell". Any Expendables fans eager for a sequel by Stallone in any form can get the book on Indiegogo.
