The thing is energy manipulation is her "thing too". It's not like she ( or rather her cosmic rod and belt) actually store any energy, that just tap and use the ambient cosmic energy around them. Back in the Golden and silver Ages it was always referred to as star energy and in one GA story Ted was actually powerless during an eclipse because his nearest source of star energy was cut off. My point is what ever energy he "absorbs or drains she can just as easily use from within him.

First one Sylvester Pemberton manipulates the kinetic, geothermic energy of the tectonic plates to cause counter earth quakes. he then manipulates heat by extracting enough to freeze and then magnetism to wrap the train tracks around DC Vulcan. Finally he blasts and atomizes Vulcan which the last scan puts into context since even Classic Fate with his blasts couldn't accomplish.

my point exactly... Vulcan was shown to use energies from within his opponents multiple times and impressiveley he wasn't limmited to any energy type also.
anyway thanks for the scans but I still feel Vulcan is the better energy manipulator. no reason to turn this into a Vulcan respect thread but I lean towards him

This only makes them the same. Those who have wielded the cosmic rod and CCB have also manipulated all types of energy and never actually had that energy within them to use. Even magic or soul energy as in the John's Goyer JSA Courtney was able to free JSAers from magical possession with her Cosmic Converter Belt when she came near them. Subconsciously she manipulated even that energy without even understanding how.

I've seen nothing from Vulcan to suggest he can manipulate energy to a greater degree. On the whole I'd put them about even. the fact that it was Ted Knight who was sent to take on a Rogue Alan Scot twice in old All Star comics and that Alan to take him had to sneak attack (and that was again with the less powerful device than either of the two she has ) points even further to the level of power they wield. In straight energy manip i couldn't pick one over the other. I'm leaning to courtney only because of the physical enhancements her gear also gives her witch is an added advantage.

ok cool. however I'd like to see an instance where courtney sucked dry a being as apowerful as Warlock in mere seconds as Vulcan did. other than that I more or less cann agree with you, while I don't feel the physical aspect can be that decisive

so any conclusions
