Wonder Man
What do you think? eek!

Galan007
Odin. No contest, imo.

celeyhyga17
What are Stranger's best feats?

Galan007
Creating a planet in 'Beyond' is the best feat I've seen from him.

operator616
^ he created Ego and alter Ego (Galaxy-level being at the very least)

leonidas
that's not to say stranger>galactic levels of power though, just to be clear. he's had MANY lesser showings to mix in with a couple of high ones. i'd give this to odin for a very solid majority.

Why galaxy-level?

^ Yes, though it's definitely implied that he did the majority of the work (and is superior to them), especially here in the 3rd consecutive page:

That would be because of Ego's battle with Galactus, for one. in thor #132/133 (i posted those before):

His bio mentions that his psionic abilities rivals that of Galactus, at their peak:

Thor The Legend, lists him with the Galactic/universal threats:

Though i understand he has an amount of low showings.

And same thing applies to the Stranger, X-Men Forever isn't the only one, as im sure you know.

Yeah, never said that he'd win, just pointing out his feats. Though it was definitely implied that he's superior to them.

Supra
Odin Force Wrecks Him Again, this thread has been done before, Odin won there as well.

Branlor Swift
Stranger stalemated Pluto in his own realm, and feigned defeat because he realized the battle would have lasted way too long as Pluto was steadily being supplied with power.

Which indicates he is below Zeus. And thus below Odin.

http://i.imgur.com/ixJHwCe.jpgIt implies that Stranger created Ego/Alter-Ego and imbued them both his own personality... Which we knew.

He still needed Collector's resources to create them, though.

fair enuff. i think ego has some pretty inconsistent feats as well and the stranger retcon doesn't really make sense in some ways and caused a little inconsistency with his character both in regards to what he once told thor and in the fact that he was considered (iirc) to be one of the elders of the universe which would actually make him OLDER than the stranger. in any event, i def wouldn't put stranger above ego. same level? maybe, but if i were forced to choose, i'd take ego in a straight up battle (barring any plot device because stranger was his maker....)

JakeTheBank
Odin, convincingly.

Wonder Man
Odin wins. The Stranger was said to be a mini Beyonder.

Yeah, apart from that, The Stranger got owned by juggernaut with a punch, and wasn't doing that well against the rest of the team in X-Men Forever (v1), same thing against a weakened silver surfer in his 1st series, not too well against overmind in Quasar, etc.... he has many low showings.

He's meant to shine when he gathers with the other members of the cosmic hierarchy, though.

Wonder Man
The Juggernaut punch was explained.
Stranger fights what he can beat.

I quickly rechecked the relevant issue (X-Men Forever #6), and i found nothing where the punch was "explained" (Whatever that means).

Galan007
Was it explained how Iceman was able to negate(via freezing) Stranger's attacks? vin

abhilegend
X-men forever is an alternate reality, isn't it?

Wonder Man
They explained the Juggernaut punch as the human level possessed by a body in the Stranger. Even TOAA can be touched on that level.

Wonder Man
Odin's spear that took out the Young Avenger Vision might make this a quick fight in the distance Odin has to cross to win it.

I know the second volume of X-Men Forever was supposed to occur in universe 161, but I don't think the first volume(where a few of Stranger's embarrassments occurred) was supposed to be an alternate reality. Could be wrong; I'm certainly not an X-Men buff.

The Stranger is pretty hard to place.
He can be seen with the abstracts and cosmics vs the IG and HOTU but can also be seen getting knocked around by Thing and Savage Hulk.

I suppose Odin wins but I'll venture to say it won't be a walk in the park.

You know what I found hilarious looking back?

Remember the IG saga? The Stranger was right up in the mix with Galactus and Eon going toe to toe with Thanos with the IG, Odin and the rest of the Skyfathers were stuck in Asgard unable to do anything but watch. laughing

operator616
^ Actually, Odin was possessed by Loki the entire time. It wasn't until issue 455 Odin regained control:

http://i.imgur.com/tN00xHi.jpg

While it was initially (a month i think) even before the IG started.

It's revealed in issue 454 that Loki possessed Odin and ordered Thor's banishment back in issue 432 (which is before the IG arc began):

It was just Loki's soul inside Odin's body, wasn't it? He wasn't depowered or anything.

Exactly. I can never make up my mind about the guy for that reason. The character is really inconsistent. At some point there was even that fake Stranger Jakar with the black hair running around.

thumb up .. If I recall.

SunD and Zop, I'm in yur ave, properly written Stranger should defeat Odin imo.
Stranger has been portrayed as something greater, but like you pointed out SunD,
these showings do fluctuate. Yet, we are using the best they have to offer no?

Imo, Stranger wins. (sans low, even ridiculous depictions, or rather ... pis?)
meh ... probably not, it could be Stranger sometimes gets caught in the CIS net,
which happens to certain uber-type cats like a Merlin/Roma or even big G.
