Marv finds himself in a gauntlet against Swordsmen one on one with 30 minutes of prep between fights.
Gauntlet
Bronn
Johan Mormont
Brienne
Barristan Selmy
Ned Stark
Jaime Lannister
Mountain
Hound
Khal Drogo
NemeBro
Why is Khal Drogo the last one on the list?
The six characters before him would crush him.
Stealth Moose
Barristan Selmy should be higher, IMO too.
NemeBro
Barristan I'll admit is really only informed ability at this point. Unless these are the book versions of the characters.
So uh, does Marv get his desert eagle?
Nephthys
Well Barristan is supposedly amazing since he was confident he could piss on the rest of the Kingsguard in a fight. Not that any of them were particularly notable I suppose.
Stealth Moose
Ned Stark's reflections, IIRC, pretty much confirm his confidence. He certainly held him in high esteem, and Stark's fought the best.
NemeBro
Right, so what you are saying is that his skills are entirely informed ability.
I'm glad you all agree.
Stealth Moose
No, you missed the cut content in season 2 where he solo'd Mordor.
Nephthys
I recall one of the Tyrell brothers was supposed to be a good swordsman and was shown whooping 3 knights at once in training. Garlan.
Which book are you on Neme? Have you gotten to Cersei's Crazy Kingdom yet?
golem370
My bad no prep but rest and no guns swords or a blade of some kind Khal was undefeated on the show
Stealth Moose
So these are only the show versions?

I've read the entire series.

He also wears no armour. He has no way to actually hurt Gregor Clegane, for example.

No shit.
I'm still on the last book. I kinda lost momentum.

Yeah, the last two books have really dragged on.
Anyway, the order is really really bad. Jaime assuming he has both hands should be numero uno. Selmy is likely not far behind him. And Drogo, like Nemebro said, should also be way lower.
Nephthys
Theres just too much going on. The story needs to be a lot tighter than it is.
Drogo is easily the most impressive in the show though imo. That fight was utterly badass.
ares834
Yep. It's even worse because GRRM drags these rather pointless plotlines on and on and on....

That's a pretty interesting opinion.
I think Ned, Jaime, Sandor, or Gregor would butcher him.
If this is show, Jaime shouldn't be number 1. Word of God confirmed that if their fight was not interrupted, Jaime would have been defeated by Ned. He also got pretty casually dismissed by Brienne (And while he was weakened, he wasn't as handicapped as he was in the books, nor did Brienne defeat him as easily in them).
Nephthys
Without a weapon. He came off as far more physically dominating than anyone else has in the show and pretty damn agile for such a big guy.
What fights make you think that?
Really? Ned would have beaten Jaime? Huh.
NemeBro
Without a weapon he killed an unarmoured scrub, lol.
Well for one thing, they all wear armour.

Sandor and Ned are admittedly less heavily armoured than the other two, but Gregor would be pretty much invulnerable (Provided he has his helmet...). Same with Jaime.
He isn't as strong as Gregor or Sandor, considering Gregor decapitated a horse with a single swing of his sword, and Sandor physically contested him. Sandor's fight with Beric Dondarrion also showed how powerful a drunken Hound against his sole fear is.
Jaime still managed to hold his own for much of his fight with Brienne despite being manacled and having lived in shitty conditions for the past year or so.
