It's kinda funny that the white guy is gonna beat the chinese guy's ass in a martial arts contest.

Val's (KK) martial art didn't originate solely in china or even on Earth. The martial art he's mastered is an amalgamation of every form of combat in the universe of the 30th century. Kung-fu is like 1/10000000000000000000000000000000000000 to the power of the same of it.

actually thats the reality in the world of martial arts. K1,Pride,UFC and many more. the asian guy lose almost every single time to other fighters, specially chinese guys. its not racism its just a fact.

It's "space karate", basically. Val even calls out alien sounding names to the joint locks he uses on Superboy.

Shang Chi is effectively fighting someone that can keep up with a Daxamite in hand to hand. No way he makes him work up a sweat, let alone beats him.

Just an average feat for Val, and not one Shang could duplicate.

Truth be told, Val could probably solo all of the Immortal Weapons and not even break a sweat.
