Nope.

That would be an ancient Egyptian statue's head. Do you even history, bro?

Noah looks pretty bad from the trailers, like they took a bible story and turned it into an action flick.

Cos, Jews.

Cos, Jews. He is making it like an action flick.

They even made a comic based off the screenplay.

Fully aware, tard. But it didn't have to look so strikingly similar to the Prometheus statue.

You do realize the statue is modeled after actual ancient Egyptian statues, yes?

So why would they make it look different, when they're going for a histortically realistic look simply because of some statue in a SciFi film?

I don't think you history one little bit, bro. Not one little bit.

Patient_Leech
Yeah, no shit. Thank you, professor tard. I didn't really study the look of the statue in the picture, BRAH. it was just my first impression. Really just pointing out that it's kind of peculiar that he's repeating the imagery.

Robtard
So you're scrapping the barrel to find stuff to complain over concerning this film. Odd.

Oneness
This might be pretty good film for Ridley Scott I don't think he's worked with the Bale before.

Probably won't have a single black person in the entire film.

Kazenji
Still got plenty of middle eastern actors in it going by its IMDB page.

looks very interesting

can't wait to see

And this is a problem how?

Tzeentch
Zipporah is supposed to be fine as ****, Rob. If Christian Bale is Moses than she's going to be some weedy white ***** like Eva Green.

That's unacceptable man.

unfortunately, you're exactly right. NoAh was nothing else than a big budget action film. There was no story. there was no "noah" It became a heart wrenching tale of what one crazed man was going to do with a baby rather than the decision of a great man." One who was balancing the greater good of mankind instead of the encouragements of a moment."

Kazenji
Fail...at there was no plot erm

clearly you didn't watch it.

heathjack
well im looking forward im kind of excited about it since I watch the bible mini series I didn't like the Noah movie they got it wrong they were no rock monsters helping Noah build the ark . but I hope its with the bible story not just special effects movies. what got me up set about Noah was they never did mention god they said the creator.

Just noticed this post. Were you referring to my post? If so then i wonder why you defend the story. I got the impression that the writing/production team settled on a story that tried to appease many different ideas. There was no singular message or direction in the story telling or character development.

Tzeentch
It's interesting that so many people ***** and moan about Aquaman being played by a Samoan and Heimdal and Johnny Storm being played by black guys, yet have no problem with movies like this.

I can imagine the shit storm that would occur if I directed a World War 2 film and casted black guys in the roles of FDR and Dougle Macarthur.

I've no problem with the person's skin color/ethnicity, it's Dorgo's acting ability that has me concerned.

That's different, since they're real life people and their background is part of who they are, influenced them. Much easier to get away with this in fictional characters, especially if their "race" is all but unimportant.

Tzeentch
I don't see how Douglas MacArthur being white is more pivotal to his story than Ramses being Egyptian...

Because it's not likely that a non white man would have reached his position and been given command of the Pacific Theater during WW2. So having Denzel Washington play him would be out of place, unless of course there was makeup done where he looked Caucasian, that would be fine.

Just like white-man Joel is made up to look Egyptian. They at least tried.

I think part of it comes down to the fact that Egyptians have been depicted as white for decades and many people probably think that Moses is European looking. Also we still aren't entirely sure how Egyptians looked.

But yeah, it certainly reeks a bit of hypocrisy.

Still looks cool. I'll probably see it.

Double post

Bentley
What? FDR wasn't black?

Quincy
I can't take this movie seriously with the whitewashing, which is a shame because the trailer showed promise.

It just kept getting Irksome seeing Uncle Owen and Christian Bale as Rameses and Moses...

Impediment
The reviews I've read for this film have been less than favorable.

Kazenji
Alot of the ones that i've seen have been praising it

in the 3 or 4 stars range.

Patient_Leech
Saw a review on RT that said the beginning and end are boring, "But the long middle section is a rousing good show."

I may not spend full price on this, but I look forward to seeing it.

This was the one of the best movie ....

If it's a good movie who gives a ****?

Not seen though.
