While the results are usually enjoyable, I feel viscerally opposed to Hollywood's trend of turning tiny books into film trilogies just for the sake of profit.

What's next? A trilogy based on Green Eggs and Ham?

They aren't actually adapting the book though. I own Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and it doesn't have a narrative. Rather it's an encyclopedia of magical monsters; it's literally a fictional textbook.

The trilogy will be about the author of FBaWtFT Newt Scamander. Still a shameless cash grab by Hollywood but at least JK Rowling is writing the scripts.
