Old Testament God vs New Testament God

Dr Will Hatch
OT God is a jealous monster who is personally responsible for killing people left and right and being very capricious in His judgement, but there's no references to Hell or what happens to people when they die.

NT God is supposedly much nicer, but he also sends sinners to a place of infinite suffering and torment for original sin, something they have no control over, or for a finite sin of their own making.

Who is better/worse in your opinion?

Shakyamunison
I am better off. Because I am a Buddhist, and don't have to worry about the gods of the bible.

OT God has more feats, so he wins.

That would be a b*tch, if it was true. Fortunately, or unfortunately, I'll just end up back here.

In a strange way it is true: This cosmos is Hell, and we have to live in it for eternity. But it is also heaven and eight other worlds all in one. The world you live in is up to you.

He promised not to use it. I suspect he misplaced the spell components.

The bible and D&D work well together.

Mindship
< hoping he pulls the George Burns spell again. This time, it really would be something.

Jesus plays 2nd edition, what a noob.

Lord Lucien
The OT had f*cking paradise gardens, and massive floods, and scouring of cities, and dads sacrificing sons, and guys getting swallowed by whales, and guys cutting oceans in half, and all that cool shit.

NT has some dork wandering around curing peoples diseases. Lamest DLC ever. Can't believe I had to pay my Original Sin just to play it. And they end on a f*cking cliffhanger! I've been waiting 2,000 years for the next chapter to come out! Whoever wrote the NT should be fired, bring back the OT God, he knew how to write a decent story.

Analyze the PT for years. It will make you a bitter, dark soul indeed.

In theory you could live a sin free life, in practice only Jesus supposedly have.

Even though he was wrathful, and even doubted God, much more overtly than Moses. But except for those continuity issues the new testament makes sense.

I'm sure it was a mistake.

Funny thing: Asians are never mentioned in the bible.

That's a myth. God doesn't send them to a place where they burn forever. When Christ Returns, all those that have died will be resurrected. The ones who haven't been saved will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire where they (even their soul) will be consumed with no chance ever to live again. They don't suffer forever but their punishment is eternal. The punishment is eternal death. Not eternal suffering.

"For the wages of sin is death".
