He was the head inquisator of the inquisitorious, he killed Jedi master Qu Rahn but was defeated by Kyle Katarn. What do you think? Maybe Jerec could be the one who kills Kanan?

Nephthys
He should be, but he won't be.

Guys face it. Canon has been rebooted. Jerec is gone... The only thing we know is that the Inquisitor is their. That's it. As for right now the only Force-users in the galaxy are Kanan Jarrus, Obi-Wan in exile, Yoda in exile, Vader, Palpatine, Ezra and this new Inquisitor dude. That's it.

That's it. it never said that the EU is not canon, it said that they will CHANGE some of the EU not DISCARD it! For example palpatines clone, they can possibly change it by let's say, palpatines spirit was about to go into one of the clone bodies but Luke Skywalker stops Palpatine before he creates the giant wormhole sucking in the fleet.

Here's how I view it. Everything from now on that's released is G-canon. Everything else stands.

ares834
And here is how it is. Only the movies, TV shows, and everything from here on out are canon.

"He (Lucas) set the films he created as the canon. This includes the six Star Wars episodes, and the many hours of content he developed and produced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. These stories are the immovable objects of Star Wars history, the characters and events to which all other tales must align.

Now, with an exciting future filled with new cinematic installments of Star Wars, all aspects of Star Wars storytelling moving forward will be connected. Under Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy's direction, the company for the first time ever has formed a story group to oversee and coordinate all Star Wars creative development."

That's pretty definitive. It all but states that prior to the nuEU, only the films and TCW were canon. That combined with what people on the Story Group like Pablo Hidalgo have been saying confirms it, the EU is no longer considered canon.

Lord Stark
The real question is, what about SWTOR? It has content in development currently, and surely they don't mean to say only content released from here on is canon.

ares834
SWTOR is the big question. The story group is apparently involved in the future expansions and one of the people working for LF is unsure if TOR is Legends or not. But, based on what Pablo said earlier and the fact that TOR is so dependent on TotJ and KotOR, I think it likely that it is non-canon. But we'll see I guess.

Q99
Even *before* this change, there's barely anything from the EU that's shown up in canon.

Dathomir/Nightsisters. Aayla Secura. The names 'Coruscant' and 'Twi'lek'. Uh... trying to think of some others... anyway, it's a short list.

I think they are leaving it intentionally vague. That way if SWTOR continues to perform well they can leave it as canon, and if it fails in the next five years they can launch a new animated series based on the Old Republic.

What makes you think they would launch a animated series based on TOR Stark?

Well TOR's characters have always looked kind of like the Clone Wars animation style.
If it wasn't an animated series on TOR it'd be KOTOR.

The reasons why this is viable:
1. Diversity of characters.
2. Female characters (who don't exist solely as love interests)
3. Lots of Jedi and Sith lightsaber battles.
4. The animation style will be recognizable already so, assuming Rebels goes well, people will watch it solely because of Filoni.
5. Way to curb some of the butthurt of fans over KOTOR not being canon anymore. (They may do stuff like reduce the gap between KOTOR and TOR for continuity sakes though).

makes sense, though I think they'll focus a lot more on TOR instead of KOTOR, considering KOTOR is a very dark era(the exile and Revan being character who are focused on story more than action which tends to bore kids and some older viewers )compared to TOR, you how they like to keep it kid friendly

Nephthys
TOR would be better because its more of an open ended thing. The war hasn't ended, so theres plenty of room to expand the conflict and really explore it with no endpoint in sight. With Kotor it would probably seem like a bunch of unimportant shit thrown on screen to thread water until the game happens. A mere side conflict from the real stuff with Bastila, Revan and Malak.

Of course, its just as likely that they'll do a completely different era and probably retcon TOR because fuk da EU!

ares834
Can't see them doing TOR at all it's far too dependent on things like TotJ and concepts such as the Sith species and Sith spirits.
