Stumbled upon this while searching Google for material for a different thread.

Suspect it is building up to a storyline reveal if it has not already.

The only thing I can think of comparable to it at the moment is Marvel Comics during their "Guess the Identity!" of Green Goblin and Hobgoblin years back.

Mystery of the Red Hooded Woman.
In DC's New52.

Morrison's one issue of New X-Men where there's 'sex' written everywhere.

Yeah, that hasn't been a mystery in quite a while--the woman in all those #1 issues is 'Pandora'. Not only did she have an entire event based, in part, around her(ie. Trinity War), but she also has a self-titled on-going series that is currently 14 issues deep.

DarkSaint85
She was around BEFORE the New 52.

And had prominent guest starring roles in other titles as well as the appearances mentioned by Galan.

Wow.

I'm either out of the loop or DC teased that even better than I thought they did.

Did they somehow include appearances like those shown in the article I linked to when they explained what you just told me, or was this a fun "seek and find" exercise that people KNEW to look for before the full storyline reveal you're suggesting?

Thanks for the info, either way!

confused

Huh.

I knew that advertisers did that sort of thing.

Until you showed me that article, I never realized comic companies engaged in anything that famously subliminal. Subliminal yes, but not so blatantly and classically so.

I'm not sure what you pointed out is isolated, either.
I found this one myself just a little after reading your post.

This is Superman/Batman #8, where someone's VERY famous cousin was re-introduced in 2004 by Jeph Loeb and Michael Turner:

Flashpoint, which led to and created the New 52 reboot, came about like so:

After the New 52, she had her own series, so this was a fun seek and find for people AFTER the full storyline.
