In the scene where Chef is ordered to search the Vietnamese boat, right after Chief Phillips says "What's in the vegetable basket", Chef grabs the Vietnamese woman and she places a small white package in his hands. (Can be found at exactly 01:14:33)
I have watched this scene 3 times now, including slow motion and am certain that something is being handed to Chef. However, I couldn't seem to find any other reference to this in the film.
