They killed off Odin in the lamest most disrespectful way possible.

Least with DC, the deaths Johnathon and Zod they had the balls to do it on screen.

This is absolutely the biggest load of crap I have ever seen, that they would do this to Odin and do it in this fashion.

DC May have its flaws, but Marvel makes them in strides as well.

I can't believe they had the balls to do this. I actually really loved AH as Odin and this is a huge slap in the face to the character.

Anthony Hopkins didn't want to play Odin. What else were they supposed to do?

Have the balls to do it on screen and end it in a respectful manner on screen.

Marvel hadn't written Odin's death into the script because they didn't anticipate Hopkins leaving the character all together. Hopkins wanting to leave was only a rumor before the script/movie development process.

Hmmm I wonder how they will do Loki pretending to be Odin then?

Odin was useless in these movies anyhow, they literally had Hopkins sleeping through the majority of them. His representation on screen was actually worse than Thor's.

i can't blame Hopkins for wanting no part in this.
