I haven't read the comics much so I really don't know. But this kid at school claims that deadpool cannot die under any circumstances. Can someone please tell me that's not true.

Technically Deadpool can "die" temporarily but he always comes back to life even if his body's destroyed. That said if the kid at your school claims that it makes him unbeatable then he's wrong. Deadpool can be put out of commission. Temporarily.

Wolverine logic, saying being unkillable = being unbeatable.

Yeah, Wade can't be killed. He could be incapacitated, decapitated, buried alive, shoved into a barrel filled with cement and dropped into the ocean, but he can't be killed.

Speaking of Wolverine Logic, there was this funny moment where Stan Lee's with this guy between commercials on some Marvel show (Wolverine: Origins, I think.) and the guy he's with tells the common knowledge fact that Logan was originally meant to be a Hulk villain. Soon as the words come out of his mouth, Stan interrupts in a fit of laughter, muttering "WOLVERINE fight HULK??? He can't fight Hulk! Hulk could just step on him!"

Yes. He died in "Deadpool/Death '98 annual" and came back at the end of the issue

^ It's not.

Deadpool was "cursed with life/immortality" by Thanos, after he became jelly of Death's relationship with Wade(Deadpool #64 (2002)):

So far as we know, he cannot be permanently killed.

Didn't Deadpool end up killing evil Deadpool?

Exact same body parts and healing factor, so what kills one should kill the other.

Deadpool isn't immortal because of regen.

Thanos didn't have any sort of artifact, though, so he couldn't have done anything to him.

If Wade was 100% immortal, there's still ways.. Genis-Vell couldn't die, but they still managed to "kill him off". All it took was two Moon Stones, someone with the power to enter the Dark Dimension, and splitting him up into different pockets of time and space in the DD.

Of course, even that could be undone by a Supergod Skyfather or some other plot device, but it doesn't seem like anyones interested in bringing Genis back. Too bad, he was pretty awesome post insanity.

I must have missed that.

My mistake, thought that scene with thanos was pre '98. But Deadpool is scheduled to die in his final issue. Unlikely be for long.

Peter David run. The one where he shoots Heimdall, and helps kill Eternity. Died a few times, and every time he comes back to life (While in the grave, no less.)

As for Wolverine..Logan was wrong. He assumed that beheading Deadpool would make his brain rot and prevent him from regenerating..but that theory's been proven wrong on like five occasions.
