Alot has changed over the years with both characters...but this rivalry remains my favorite.

Both characters in their "classic" forms. So hulk feats before planet hulk and Wolverine before civil war

Who wins?

He did not. And even then, Hulk's healing is too good.

Hmmm i recall him almost killing him as death. Cis stopped it iirc. Didn't seem to have a problem piercing his hide

Wolverine get s pulverized no matter how good his healing factor has gotten

Hulk accidentally impaled himself on his claws. Before that he couldn't cut hulk.

You got proof he was amped? All i remember is getting his skeleton back

He was manhandling colossus. I doubt regular Wolverine can do that.

When Logan began losing (after a pretty good fight), he jumped on the hulk and kept popping his claws in and out of his neck (most likely his jugular). Only when Logan managed to briefly break the mind control was the hulk able to slam him to the ground and walk/trot away saying in that Logan shouldn't have stopped if he wanted to win (or something like that). I hope this information has provided some enlightenment on how that fight played out.

That's not what happened. You only need to go to ODG hulk respect thread to see the fight.

Not exactly. Hulks rage and momentum caused the terminal blow. Logan just capitalized

In the very scene he was stated to be enhanced like sabretooth.

And it was pretty clearly stated that Hulk's own Momentum was the reason he got cut and Wolverine himself couldn't cut him.

He was amped in strength too. Meh, either way he could not cut hulk on his own.

Abhi's done all the leg work here.
I love a good Hulk/Wolverine fight, but Logan's not winning this one.

Deathverine had his strength amped.

He can cut Hulk regardless of whether or not he's amped.

Hulk still wins.

Wolverine can take some wins imho, but not a majority. I could see him take like 3/10.

Back then Hulk still stomps.

Now? Like any incarnation in the last five or so years has a good chance to shatter Wolverine.

Maybe my memory is failing me. I honestly remember Wolverine being a challenge to hulk back in the day. Anyone have issue numbers with complete fights?

Even if he can cut Hulk on his own it's quite irrelevant, he still loses.

That's more just Wolverine's jobber aura as opposed to Wolverine actually being that strong or skilled. Think about it, can Wolverine heal very well? Yeah, sure. But what else can he do? His has claws, and his physical stats are all above human. But they aren't massively above human, I don't even put Wolverine as physically superior to a guy like Captain America.

So how would you explain how a guy who doesn't even vastly out class Cap, with some good healing and unbreakable claws...is going to defeat someone like the Hulk without horrible writing coming into play? Especially considering that Hulk getting pissed and hitting Wolverine just one time would, realistically, knock the dude into another state/country. Or if he gets fed up he grabs him and tosses him into space.

Thats not really a sound argument knowing his history. U can't discount it cause its not realistic

Damn, he took some serious shots from Hulk in that fight from vol. 3.

I love the fight that has Thing and Logan ducking it out with Hulk. Good stuff.

It says alot that a character like Wolverine can hurt and hang with a character like The Hulk, but in the end, the outcome should be Hulk winning just about every single time.
