So, I was doing my daily missions on Ziost, and one of the them was called "Eyes into the Past" or something like that. In it, I saw how disturbingly OP Vitiate has become.
His drain, or whatever that was, utterly disintegrated some massive structured. On the pictures provided, the blue holograms are what used to be their before the drain.

It looks really similar to Nathema, lol.

Dude razed an entire world, warping landscape and killing its inhabitants, and the notion that he blew away some random statues is supposed to shock and awe?

You're trying too hard.

Well drain applies on the living and the force itself. Destroying structures kinda suggests a more advanced attack was used and possibly was more related to Vitiate's raw power than rituals.

How on earth is the absence of statues more indicative of raw power and not a ritual?

Obviously the feat is impressive. But this thread is the intellectual equivalent of stepping over a dollar to snatch a penny. Vitiate ate a PLANET. A world. Disintegrating statues isn't exactly earthshattering (pun intended).

Sinious
I've never heard of a massive TK wave caused by a ritual tbh. Rituals are usually more applied on the living tbh.

I admit though, this entire Ziost feat doesn't really make sense.

FreshestSlice
Not going to lie, you're starting to sound more and more like LeGenD everyday, Ant, going so far as to talk about what we all thought, as if you knew what was collectively inside our heads.

Bane's ritual in Path of Destruction caused a swath of destruction that consumed a considerable chunk of Ruusan. There's no established rule that I'm aware of that precludes physical carnage as a consequence of rituals. wink

Well that's good to know I guess. I'm looking forward to hearing your arguments regarding Sidious' superiority in the future. thumb up

psmith81992
Yea I'm not sure what the point of this was. He's already eaten a planet. Who cares about statues? I mean it's pretty and shit but doesn't add to the impressiveness of the feat.

S_W_LeGenD
A ritual is an expression of power. It can be performed by a single person, and it isn't witchcraft.

EXAMPLE: Darth Thanaton (single-handedly) stomped Darth Nox with a ritualistic power.

Calm down, people were suggesting the feat only targeted living matter to minimise the impressiveness. This proves differently. It makes the attack a little better.

Nice share. Thank you. smile

When Vitiate unleashed his power, its intensity even shook the Space Station orbiting the planet Ziost. Therefore, the power may have destroyed lot of stuff on the planet.

Not sure how, considering living things are the only thing that matter in any applicable verses scenario. Nihilus' feat also destroyed buildings, and as noted, people still consider that to not be impressive. People will always call such things unimpressive. This won't change that.

The_Tempest
Vitiate is well and truly the bane of sculptors and curators across the galaxy.

This. Though I could care less for Freshest's raging hard on against Vitiate. God forbid someone makes a thread to clarify an important topic. laughing out loud

FreshestSlice
You're both trying way too hard, honestly. I have nothing against Vitiate personally. In fact, no one has anything against Character Trope personally. He's a copy-and-paste character in a MMO, of all things. The point is no one needed this clarified and no one cares, so why did you feel the need to tell anyone what you think they thought?

Though this does go further to legitimizing my belief that most Vitiate fanboys are really here for Revan, and more evidence is never a bad thing.

WildBantha88
so why are we so impressed with a ritual? We have seen rituals before and they have all been super powerful. Examples Destroying a forest, thought bomb, turning the Force in favor of the Dark

DarthAnt66
Hint: Nothing indicates it was a ritual.

XSUPREMEXSKILLZ
It probably wasn't a ritual. Not that it actually matters anymore.

Based on? Vitiate seemingly did it off the whim, and nothing suggests a ritual. The codex actually implies it wasn't.
Then again, I question why I even ask you questions like this. It's not like you know anything related to the matter. mmm

Pretty much this. I'm not sure why it matters if it's a ritual or not. Especially if it isn't something he can do instantaneously.

XSUPREMEXSKILLZ
Truthfully, I meant that if people are trying to argue Vitiate>Sidious, none of what Vitiate does truly matters.

FreshestSlice
I guess. Still, Vitiate>Sidious and Sidious>Vitiate debates have gotten stale. I'm tired of the uber powerful, nexus or otherwise, debates and care a lot more about the just the powerful. Like the Wrath. We need more debates about them.

Zenwolf
I'm kinda sick of Force User discussions generally...but this is more due to the fact I see em everywhere, especially in VS where the same characters get used and over on CV.

I get it The Force and Jedi/Sith are a major and big part of the SWU, but there's so much more. CV I guess has kinda burned me out on Force Users, cause all it is at this point is the same characters with the same discussions over and over again, the same points, it's just so...uuugggghhh!

Although I guess I can't be too hard on em, cause most people just know Dooku, Obi-Wan, Anakin/Vader, Yoda, Sidious, Luke and so on.

carthage
Lesser used force users are utilized all the time here, but people are so far up TORs ass that they never post in any other threads whether it involves non force sensitives or not

Zenwolf
I was speaking of the issue being mostly on CV Carth not here, I know there's a lot more variety on here...but then this is a SW sub forum compared to just a general forum for comics, so there's a difference obviously.
