Irrefutable Evidence of Red Sea Crossing

Star428
Irrefutable evidence has been found that the crossing of the Red Sea by the ancient Israelites led by Moses actually happened:

http://mobile.wnd.com/2012/06/chariots-in-red-sea-irrefutable-evidence/

*waits for some bullheaded stubborn atheist to come along, laugh, and claim it's a hoax* LOL.

riv6672
I dont think you have to be an athiest to see this story while interesting IS refutable.
Its an interesting story, and those involved should look further into it though.

Star428
How in the world can it be refutable? You think these people are lying, riv? Or do you think they planted all of those ancient chariot parts on the bottom of the sea? And why would King Solomon have erected those great pillars in 500 BC unless he knew for a fact that the places where he had them built was where the Israelites began and completed their journey across the sea?

It's not like I really needed this article to support my belief in God but I'm still quite pleased with this discovery, to say the least. As I've said so many times before, creation itself and the life of Christ and the miracles He performed are all the proof I will ever need. No atheist will ever shake my belief in the Almighty no matter what they say. Atheists will keep denying His existence regardless of how much irrefutable evidence like this comes to light. Some people truly are a lost cause I guess and will have to learn He's real the hard way but by then it'll be too late for them because they'll probably be burning in Hell for denying His existence despite discoveries like this that should've opened their eyes.

I'm going to buy this dvd off of amazon because it looks very interesting.

riv6672
Lying? No.
Planted? No.
Belief? All well and good.
Lost cause? You arent the first to think that of me.
Irrefutable? Sorry, no.
Interesting? Yes.

If you cant think of a way for things to wind up at the bottom of a large body of water other than divine intervention, you arent thinking very hard.
Which is why i say the story is refutable.
No offense meant.

LOL. So instead of giving a theory on how all of those chariot parts, horse and human remains ended up on the bottom of ocean you just insult me by telling me I"m not thinking very hard. Whatever, riv. roll eyes (sarcastic)

Bardock42
A blurry picture and the word of a forklift driver who is 99.9% sure that he found something from ancient egypt are not irrefutable evidence for anything.

It's a bit bizarre how you are one of those that deny evolution, which actually is thoroughly and repeatably proven, yet you buy the word of a handful of people as absolute, "irrefutable evidence", of what you already believe.

Star428
LOL. I didn't expect to change atheists' minds but fortunately I don't really care if I do or not. Done discussing it with hard-headed perople. It's proof. PERIOD. Not gonna even bother reading any more posts from non-believers who come in here and try to convince me it's a hoax. Sorry, but none of you non-believers can spoil my joy over this finding. smile

Bardock42
Ok, it's not proof tho...

Star428
You think it's a blurry picture then watch the dvd, for Christ sake. God has given non-believers plenty of clues that He is indeed real so when Judgement Day finally comes they will have no excuse for disbelieving in Him. He's given them plenty of opportunities but they choose to be stubborn and believe rather that everything came into being from nothing without intelligent design and for no reason other than being an "accident". LOL.

Bardock42
I think I'll wait for the peer-reviewed scientific papers ...

Star428
If you don't want to pay the ten bucks for the video you should at least watch the trailer at bottom of article. It showed plenty of clear footage of the evidence. thumb up

Bardock42
I watched the trailer, there is no clear footage there's corrals that have some golden picture overlaid and there's the blurry photo of the alleged wheel. There is definitely no "video of the Pharaoh's chariot army" as they claim...

riv6672

The theory is called "sinking".

Star428
Please don't be a smart ***, riv. You know what I meant. You're one of the few people whom I actually respect on this forum. Sorry if I somehow insulted you in a previous post but I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. They didn't "sink" though. They drowned. Except for the chariots though, of course.

riv6672
I'm not insulted, but, by calling me a lost cause in your first reply to me, laughing and rolling your eyes at me in your second, you established where you want to go with this topic. I can get as much fun out of conversing OR trading quips.

I'm just following your lead.

Star428
Fair enough.

But, just to clarify, the "lost cause" comment wasn't directed at you specifically but at all the naysayers I knew would be coming in here claiming it was a hoax (like Bardock; but I'm sure they'll be more).

Maybe I just have a higher standard for proof then you do.

I'm just amazed because if this flimsy evidence is irrefutable to you then..as someone else said, you should 100% believe in evolution because it has much more solid evidence.

Did you pay 10 bucks for the video? Also is the forklift driver some kind of scientist or specialist in the field? After all, he is "99.9%" sure. So I'd like to know what background he has.

Are people not aware that the ancient Egyptians had boats/ships and that it is within reason to believe that some of these boats/ships sank and it's also within reason that some of those boats/ships that sank could have been carrying a chariot or two.

Yeah, finding one chariot, even if it is a real chariot, proves absolutely nothing. Now, if they found a thousand chariots, that would be interesting.

Surtur
But guys..the forklift driver...will nobody think of the forklift driver and his obvious expertise?!

Plus the theory of chariots being carried on boats is fine but there is a flaw..you see they also say they found horse remains. We know it would take the foulest dark sorcery to get a horse onto a boat. It MUST of been Godly magicks at work.

Unless they were sea horses of course wink

Surtur
The other thing is..if we believe this then it not only says evolution should be real, but it would mean Bigfoot, the Lochness monster, ghosts, etc. are ALL real because the "evidence" for those things has been just as flimsy.

So yay we live in a world with the Mothman and Chupacabra's and all that shit, sleep tight everyone.

Star428
Uh, oh. Looks like all the atheistic natives are restless. Guess this factual finding struck a nerve with them because they don't have a reasonable explanation for it. LOL.

riv6672
Reasonable explanation's been given. Sinking.

But it's not a factual finding. The only fact is a forklift driver says he is 99% sure he found something from a chariot.

Star428
Of course all the people "sank", riv... Duh. Question is what caused it? I think we all know the only logical answer to that regardless of whether non-believers like you all want to admit it or not.thumb up

Lol yourself. There are two reasonable explanations that don't involve accepting the Biblical narrative: 1) an Egyptian (or Roman, or Greek, or Persian--is there even proof that it's an Egyptian style chariot?) ship carrying a chariot sank in the Red Sea. 2) The chariot is a hoax planted to dupe gullible people like you.

You have people on ignore because they don't adhere to the very narrow way you see the universe.

At this point you don't even apply logic. Even if this did prove the one story is true(it doesn't, at all) it wouldn't ever mean that everything in the bible is true.

Also I can't help wondering if a good Christian would require something like this in order to strengthen their belief in something that is supposed to be based on faith.

Close-minded? Only in the discussions for reassurance and reinforcement of what they already believe in order to make themselves feel good?

Personally I don't ascribe stuff like this to 'crazy' or 'insane,' because people with mental illness don't act this way or vice-versa. I think we need better words.

How about 'ignorant'? That usually works.

Pathologically close-minded. At least close-minded people will converse with people who disagree. Star refuses to recognize the existence of opposing views.

Yea. There's like, a million ways to refute this.

Heck, let's say chariot.

Wrong style of chariot? Sign it's from a different country other than Egypt, and thus not from the story.

Wrong age of chariot? Ditto.

Near boat parts? Sinking, chariots were simply being transported across.

Actually boat parts themselves? See 'sinking'.

Insufficient number? Not an army. Again boat, either sinking or thrown overboard.

There are cars deep in the ocean floor for that reason ^^

There are cars on the ocean floor because Moses took a Prius when he decided to cross the Red Sea.

Have to say that this 30 minute dvd is a real letdown. Don't get me wrong, the evidence was quite convincing and I'm certainly glad that it's been shown to the world. The problem I had with the dvd is only a few minutes of it was focused on the wreckage strewn across the bottom of the Red Sea. The rest of it was talking about many other unrelated things that I either already knew or just didn't really care about. Not worth the $10.00 I paid for it. What a rip-off.

So it was, "look, wreckage," then talk about other stuff for half an hour? (And that's... a dollar every three minutes. Yikes!)

Did they have an Egyptologist talk about what dynasty it came from and how one can tell? Did they talk about the age of the wood and how it's survived?

Did they do anything other than, "Look, wreckage, it's totally from the story! Trust us on this"?

Lord Lucien
I just watched Exodus: Gods and Kings, and it irrefutably proves that you don't need to be Egyptian to play an Egyptian.

What to you was the most convincing evidence shown? I mean besides gold mines like forklift drivers saying they think it is a chariot. Surely this few minutes of focus on the wreckage was chalk full of scientific fact? Just for laughs..did they actually do any tests on the stuff found?

There is nothing honorable about your faith. Notice the wording though...*your* faith. As in your own personal faith, not the religion you follow..just your own personal twisted faith in that religion.

First off it makes no sense to suggest someone who doesn't believe in God doesn't know what honor is. Especially when what constitutes honor is subjective.

Second, just look at the way you behave when it comes to religion. You gleefully tell people they will burn in hell or that you hope they burn in hell. Tell me..have you seen any atheists in this thread that are getting off on the apparent eternal damnation of others? Especially when they are supposedly burning in hell for trivial things according to you.

Let us also keep in mind that if we ever found out something like this sea crossing did truly happen it wouldn't even necessarily prove "God" is real. Hell for all we know it was super advanced aliens helping them out. It's no less crazy then "magic guy did it". A lot of imagery in the bible could actually be seen as the people of the times interpretation of advanced technology they witnessed.

If Jesus teleported to my house right now and began raising the dead and turning water into wine I would...shout "zombie" and then "kill it with fire!". No I'm kidding, but I'd be convinced it was the real deal if I saw that.

You're right, of course. However reading the article and especially seeing the evidence with my own eyes in the dvd filled me with joy. Experts have said that any novice could tell that the coral formations discovered on the bottom of sea where the crossing took place are not normal by any means. They very much resemble chariot parts. Both in shape and size. They also discovered a chariot wheel made out of gold (or silver, I don't recall which one) which they believe was one of the wheels of the Pharaoh's royal chariot. Good eye-opening stuff.

Btw, I watched the modern remake of The Ten Commandments recently. It wasn't nearly as good as the 1956 original with Charlton Heston. The parting of the Red Sea scene in particular was a huge let down from the original scene.

I agree. The Charlton Heston version was by far the best version. Bible movies were always better back then. I hate how Hollywood butchured the Noah film.

Star428
Still haven't seen that yet but I heard about all the controversy it caused because it didn't mention God anywhere in the film.

Yes, chariot parts...that's ONE chariot.

And one supposed wheel made of gold...that surprisingly no one's stolen.

Enough evidence right there to claim it was an entire army.

Reading this fills me with sadness.

Yep, because if something "very much resembles" something it must be what you think it is. That is of course how a true expert would operate, he would just make vague statements about how it might resemble something.

Trocity
That's how it usually works. Evolution is "pseudoscience" and the process with which we discern how old things are is circular logic, but then when anything, no matter how vague or unproven, seems to align with religion or a story from the bible, it is fact.

Lord Lucien
My favourite things are true and you're aren't by the same logic. Shut up.

Cool thread. This "Star" person seems to share a lot of my deeply-held religious and political views. He seems a little rough around the edges though lol.

Robtard
You dumped your 4+ year thread to pretend you're not star428 with a new account? Weird.

eThneoLgrRnae
Cry more. It's funny how you don't seem to have a problem with Whirly bumping several years old threads (just to troll) but when I do it you have suddenly have a cow lol.

Robtard
That wasn't really "having a cow", just that everyone who knows you has known you're Star428 returned since at least of May 2019, as I outed you. It's no secret, bud.

Robtard
Yeah, lol

So because they found some wheels at the bottom of the sea that constitutes "Irrefutable Evidence of Red Sea Crossing?"

Christians must have low standards.

Damn, I am guessing from reading back a bit this is the same guy that thinks all homosexuals are going to hell and same-sex marriage is wrong but watches transexual porn...

Be interesting to see him quantify that one with a satisfactory answer.

I am just gonna assume you're being a little trolling b*tch and thus not take you seriously. Or maybe you just have a serious reading comprehension problem, eh?

I never said "same sex marriage" is wrong. What I said was is that it doesn't actually exist, there is no such thing as it. Seriously, dude, are you really that damn dumb? If so, my condolences...smh.

No doubt you are a sock of one of the losers over at Discord (one of three people I suspect in particular judging by what you said in your post). In any case, I have decided I don't like your trolling ass so I'm putting your butt on ignore.

Epicure
Sounds like you are the whiny b*tch tbh.
