Wow, this is really, really hard to call. I'm going to need a while to think this through...

Cogito
Gentry feats?

Basanos were plot device in the general ballpark of the Thought Robot, imo.

Zack M
Yeah, what's it going to be, Galan?

Galan007
Still really not sure. The Gentry are thought-forms that literally embody various concepts of the story itself. Any villainous mastermind/plotter in comics, for example, would be an embodiment of Intellectron. Any evil horde/swarm/stampede in comics would be an embodiment of Demogorgunn, etc. etc.

It's really hard trying to accurately quantify these metatextual types.

Didn't one of the Gentry destroy a universe?

So, metatextual vs. plot device. eww.

Notable feats for Basoanos? Defeating a nearly full powered Lucifer (though if Lucifer had been whole they would not have been able to)

The Basanos were able to defeat Lucifer only through trickery iirc (by doing something to the feathers of his wings or some such). Lucifer would defeat them in a full on encounter imo.

That said, Gentry win.

What exactly are the Basanos?

Galan007
^ They were created by Melos after he studied Destiny's Book--they were meant to mimic it. However, they unexpectedly gained sentience and went rogue, thus were considered 'flawed'.

Good stuff. thumb up

If beating Lucifer via trickery is their own notable feat then they do not seem impressive. Well, power wise anyways. I suppose tricking Lucifer is a feat in itself.

Juntai
Yep, they ****ed with his feathers after he voluntarily had his wings removed. And after he regained the wings, it made it when he tried to attack them, he attached himself instead.

Otherwise, they couldn't do shit to him, and conversely, he would wipe them out without trying.

Totally agree. That being said, the same Lucifer with missing feathers was the one that tanked Michael's energies and shaped his multiverse, so there's something to be said for that.

But without that weakness exploitation they would get curbed by Lucifer. The fact that he didn't seem to fear them at all after he got his feathers back would indicate as much.
