ive heard alot people state that thor is 2x to 4x stronger than the thing. is this true? if thor is planetary in strength does that make thing country/continental level in strength since its only a small increase?

please for the sake of the thread, no lowballing.

ShadowFyre
Incalcuable. No way to really guage. Thor has done things like move the world engine all the way down to having a hard time stopping a jet. And Things usually depicted way stronger than his supposed 70 ton limit.

Magnon
Twice as strong, at most (based on their fights against common enemies).

Thing's strength is somewhere around "able to lift a building" level, and even that's probably too generous.

Adam Grimes
0,3.

CortSether
Both about one to two infinity times weaker than Shuma-Gorath.

People like Thor, Hulk, Supes and up in strength should literally be able to tear someone on Ben Grimms level apart like tissue paper.

It's not really hyperbole to say that on a good day, Thor is millions or billions of times stronger.

When's the last time Things lifted a building, let alone something like Hulk's famous mountain range, or something approaching moon/planet sized.

Less than twice as strong. Originally posted by cdtm

By that criteria, Thor would be hundreds of times stronger than Kurse and Mangog too.

Or hundreds of times stronger than Doomsday. Like was posted earlier, based off both their high ends, or at least the ones I know of. He could be millions of times stronger, but in a comic with both in it, probably 2-3 times stronger.

He isn't even twice as strong. Heck, Hyperion once stated he hits as hard as Thor.

Now, I'm willing to chalk that up as a hyperbole. But Ben got in a slugfest with Hyperion and even though he lost in a strength lock, he didn't look like he was half as strong or something.

Thor has himself said that Hyperion was as strong as himself. Ben's own fight with Thor went the same way. Thor is holding back here as he is fighting Puppet Master's control.

Again. Thor is holding back until Sif is threatened.

I'd say he is somewhere 25% to 50% stronger than Ben at any given time.

The problem is that writers don't know how much shit actually weigh or how much force it takes to do something. That's why we get a lot of contradictions in comics. Some here value character battle relation over feats against nature.

Thing's strength level is between 100-200 tons. Yet when Thor and Hulk fights him it doesn't appear they are beyond 5 times stronger. If Thor was actually millions of times stronger then he could ko Ben with a tiny flick of his finger. But we know this isn't the case.

Do we value character fights more or feats against nature? If the latter then we must dismiss or give very little weight to character battles that contradict feats of nature.

Thing would kill Thor in a fight, that's all I know.

How many Beyonders can thing kill?

Adam Grimes
Every single one.

DarkSaint85
Heart Force > Bro Force.

Humans are Beyonder K-nite. Ben was a human, more so than Hype/Thor.

He, just by standing there, annihilates them all.
