This maych came to my mind yesterday night. Bebop and Rocksteady are much tougher than anyone in their area but are nowhere near top tier. So I decided to aim for something lowers. How would they fare against these warriors from Olympus and Asgard in:
1. H2h fight
2. Weapon fight. The TMNT duo have whatever bladed and blunt foorce weapons they posses. Ares has his Adamantine axes and his spear, while Valkyrie has her trusty Dragonfang and shield

Ares has traded blows with a bloodlusted Hercules - he should be waaay tougher/stronger than the TMNT duo, no? I only know them from the cartoons...

FWIW:

Of course, he was never written at this level again, lol.

Comic turtles are way stronger than show ones even if i prefer the show. I barely read any IDW but from what I've sern the comic turtles average around 5 tonner level and at high end 30 tonners. The due are clealy superior to the turtles and had an building blow up in their face and wasn't hurt much. Also, I kniw a high end Ares like the one who was beating several Iron Man armors would murder them but as you said he is not always portrayed that way

He was never written at this level, period.
That was back when Tony was just guessing what to expect from Ares. Better to be "200%" sure than sorry.

And maybe a bit of flattery to win him over

I have checked out both of his minis.
In the first one, he goes down to bullets...

IIRC, he went down to bullets because he didn't have his full godly powers. He was in a depowered state like Hercules was during the post-Onslaught era

Also Ares in DS's scans remind me of Punisher

Well, that'd explain a lot...

So how would Valkyrie do?
