I know the old gods are supposedbly more powerful in certain ways but doesent he lose flight, speed and something else? That could be a big difference.

Nope GoGs Shazam does fly. The flightless Shazam was when he acquired only 4 gods, but after defeating Yuga Khan and than having Mamaragan powers, he now flies. He has Martian fire to his list of powers.
