So this is set to be revealed at E3 next week. I'm hyped. I mostly enjoyed the first, though its a fixer upper. Hopefully they learned from their mistakes. The stealth needs to be greatly improved, and Sebastian needs to be more fleshed out as a character (unless they make a new character, which I'm not against, though I do want to see more of Seb). They also need to tune down the action. Chapters 5,7, 9, and 10 were great in the first. Every chapter besides, including the entire last third, was full out RE5 territory with waves of annoying enemies, overwhelming you, and this needs to be done more tastefully.
For those who don't know, this is a newer horror series by Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil who left the franchise after RE4. It's widely considered REs spiritual successor. The first gave me massive RE1/4 vibes, which was likely done on purpose since much imitated those games.
I'm optimistic, but I'll judge this game harshly.
