Usually getting really angry makes a Force user a lot deadlier. But how does this work exactly? I think the classic response is to say that bloodlust helps unlock more of your potential; if that's the case, would, say, Yoda in his peak just not receive any amp from it?

What about exceptional cases; why wasn't Vader unstoppable on Mustafar despite being bloodlusted? Was he just f*ked up emotionally in a way most bloodlusted foes aren't?

Also, you'd imagine that they could just use drugs or something to achieve it if it's as simple an emotional state as anger.

The amount of inner darkness you have = how much power when bloodlusted
But clouds the minds and stops tactical ingenuity

Yoda has **** all inner darkness that's why he gets no amp

It's the temporary sacrifice of control for power.

Those with mastery over their emotion can use it as a weapon.

But with those like Anakin, it shapes him, not the other way around.

It can lead to emotional instability, which causes decrease in performance.

It is "just" anger.

"Anger... fear... aggression. The dark side of the Force are they. Easily they flow, quick to join you in a fight."

Basically, in a duel, it's going to be easier to use these emotions to tap into the Force rather than remaining calm and tapping into it.

Basically it's just how pissed off somebody is, determines how bad they wanna kill the opponent.
