So, this is kind of exciting. I started reading the Mitch Rapp novels by Vince Flynn a few days ago and now I see they are shooting a movie. The movie is called American Assassin and stars Dylan O'Brien, Michael Keaton and Scott Adkins. Rapp is a counterterrorist specialist whose mission is to bring a world of hurt to terrorists and while there are resemblances to Jason Bourne and James Bond, in the books the focus is more on him being a badass killer than an undercover operative.
Looks like the film will focus on his beginning as he starts his training at the CIA's Orion Team, created specifically to hunt and kill terrorists.
