Creating areas of extreme Darkside concentrations is rather common when Sith die or conduct arcane rituals. But what Sith in Legends canon was entirely dependent nexus amps for their feats of power like Darth Bane? Was it because they needed a source of external power for their accomplishments, or like Bane couldn't depend on their own latent force power to accomplish much. How do you scale their feats off nexus to gauge their power?

Definitely Vitiate. I'd say up to 90% of his feats are done on powerful nexuses. So on a nexus, novel Vitiate may very well be comparable to pre-balance shift Plagueis; without one, he's likely closer to Vader.
Azronger
Vitiate. He has only once in his life been absent from a nexus, on his home planet. But other than that:
Korriban
Dromund Kaas
Yavin IV
Ziost
Zakuul
Odessen

His home planet was likely a nexus due to being populated by Sith, lol. So there's a chance he's never known a non-nexus environment

True, is there actually a Sith world that has not been a nexus?

Vitiate is honestly worst than Bane.
On the other hand Sidious is guilty of transforming the entire galaxy into a dark side environment.
