In the movies usually always ends up defeated right? at least until the seguel. By average people.

JX wasn't beaten by anyone. They had to BFR him to 'win', and even then he survived the vacuum of space, as well as reentry into Earth's atmosphere + the subsequent impact, none the worse for wear(as we saw in the comics.)

JX was kind of defeated by friction....
