Stranger with the Starbrand.

Back during that arc, the LT wanted nothing to do with the Starbrand and it showed. When the Stranger stole the Earth from the Starbrand's multiverse, the LT demanded he return it. The Stranger told him doing so would unleash "a hideously powerful entity on this reality" and the LT didn't push him further (he instead sealed off the Earth from the Starbrand's multiverse inside a force field so it wouldn't infect 616 reality).
