Where would Darth Maul rank in TOR?

Given Maul's force feats aren't as developed as Vader or Dooku, and he's suffered losses to multiple padawans. Where would Maul rank with his only saving grace being skill with a lightsaber? Would he be a generic Sith berserker or with his limited technical acumen be able to serve in a tactical capacity? Where do you think based on feats Maul would rank in TOR?

Ursumeles
Honestly: Saberswise around Arcann and the Outlander.

cs_zoltan
Canon Maul would be like Thana.

In terms of saber combat he's above the Outlander, Arcann, ... While Force wise he's probably on Malgus/Arcann's level.

Nephthys
Hahaha.

You keep making these statements when its clear you're very uninformed about TOR era feats. It's amusing.

DarthDuelist9
It's very clear that you overevaluate TOR and have little idea what Maul's actually capable of.

NewGuy01
Well, I mean, he's certainly capable of much more than you'd expect from someone of his caliber... Like repeatedly falling off ledges.

thumb up

Solar Power
I find with a side by side comparison of feats and accolades, Maul and the Wrath II are quite similar, well, pre-Rebels anyways.

So I'd say he would rank quite well.

Ohshit.

DarthDuelist9
Reasons?

UCanShootMyNova
Probably Wrath level.

Who are the these multiple Padawans who've beaten Maul that you guys keep billshitting about?

There was Obi-Wan, whose training was complete, and couldn't have won without Qui-Gon anyway and then there's.... Who again?

UCanShootMyNova
Ahsoka, Obi Wan, Ezra soon. Some people count Kanan not realizing he was officially knighted the episode beforehand.

The Ellimist
People still can't distinguish canon and legends lmfao.

FreshestSlice
And where did you draw that conclusion from?

Ahsoka never beat him in a fight. What's this "Ezra soon" nonsense?

Yes Kanan was Knighted. Those people shouldn't be making shit up.

So yeah, no one except Obi-Wan whose training was complete, and who could never have fought/defeated Maul on his own anyway thumb up

And you know, if we want to go there (as in full retard mode of debating) then technically Vader also got defeated by a Padawan.

Yup. He is at least as skilled, may a bit more powerful and has better physicals smile

SunRazer
Just above the Wrath, I'd imagine.

Canon only.

DarthDuelist9
Wha has the Wrath done to be considered close to Maul?

Beniboybling
Defeating skilled Padawans..

Deronn_solo
Around the Wrath, yeah.

DarthDuelist9
The trolling can stop now Beni, it isn't funny anymore.

cs_zoltan
Of course it is.

DarthDuelist9
Yeah, the "he loses to Padawans" argument is quite old and well not true since there were obviously circumstances involved.

cs_zoltan
Whether there were circumstances it's still true, phag.

DarthDuelist9
Sure but it isn't usable in battle threads in which those circumstances don't apply.

To explain further, I see a similarity between the Wrath and Maul on a basis of accolades and feats.

Maul has his "one of the most deadly warriors in Sith history" accolade, and his variety of other accolades denoting his power and training. Maul has no issue army busting, evident in his dismantling of Black Sun, and has taken down esteemed masters of the Jedi Order like Anoon Bondara and Qui Gon Jinn. Stomping the likes of Komari Vosa isn't bad either.

On the other side of the coin, the Wrath had "unrivaled strength in battle" before arriving at the Korriban Academy, and he was deemed one of, if not the, strongest acolytes there and the end of his trials. The Wrath is described to be strong in the Force and the dark side by numerous characters throughout the story, and it is stated in the codex that he was chosen out of millions of candidates to become the Emperor's Wrath, which while this may not be entirely based on his power, is still logically decided with power as a factor.

The Wrath has his own feats of army busting, like:
*Killing General Rylon's elite soldiers in the Arms factory on Balmorra
*Slaughtering his way through House Organa's defenses
*Cutting swathes through the Republic's finest on his quest to kill the war trust generals
*Killing the Gormak Chiefs on Voss

And the Wrath has his own set impressive kills against both jedi and sith, like:
*Single-handedly killing Masters Yonlach and Yul-Li
*Defeating Nomen Karr multiple times, and then effectively stomping Jaesa
*Killing Xerender and Wylett
*Killing 2 Dark Council members (with assistance, however meager), Vengean and Ekkege
* Killing Baras
*Killing the Sel-Makor possessed Emperor's Voice

They're also both combatants who specialize more in sabers than in force, but are still strong telekinetics. So Wrath level isn't bad at all I would say.
