He's always had a good hf. Since back in the classic Eradicator days, when he was charred over 90% of his body, and Lois noticed the burns quickly faded.

Superman is a solar battery and everything he does uses solar energy.

His "HF", if you want to call it that, is just somewhat accelerated healing. More akin to a Flash healing faster than a normal human than regenerating lost limbs and whatnot.

I guess what im getting at is if there weren't yellow sunlight he wouldn't have it. he'd heal normally. were as doomsday and lobo and others just heal better than normal thus the healing factor.

If he were completely depowered, like say Kryptonians on Krypton before its destruction, he would heal at a regular human rate, yes.

But you could also say that if the Hulk weren't all gamma'd up (i.e. straight Banner), then he wouldn't have a HF either, so... /shrug
