Wait, he can't absorb any powers UNTIL he beats them? So he goes into battle with Magneto as a powerless robot? If he begins with the abilities of the JLA he'll clear, if he begins with the powers of no one he stops at one.

Pretty sure Colossus wanted him to start with the standard JLA powerset.

Robots typically don't do well against Magneto and I'm unaware of anything impressive "base Amazo" has ever done.
