I also don't like how every period of time has major battles that would be like within an actual war. I know stories need them to have substance, but it really drags out the WAR in Star Wars.

Still not following. Why isn't there a clear distinction? Are you referring to Rebels?

Their is no separation in the fighting. Non-stop battles happen as if a war is waging. Its like their is a third war in between the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War.

Because of the Rebels TV show, but it's not really new as a story thing.
