Creative teams in film are influenced by previous films or will sometimes pay respects to the material that gave them influence to create their projects. What are some movie moments whether subtle or direct, where a project that came after payed tribute to the material that preceded it?

Chicken Run does it in regards to The Great Escape.
WALL-E had some homages to 2001.
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey had homages to the Star Trek Gorn ep.

"Rambo....is a pussy" sly stallone : Tango and Cash. 😂

Robert Zemeckis paying homage to Midnight Cowboy's "I'm walking here!" line in both Back to the Future Part II (Marty McFly, Jr. says it) and Forrest Gump (LT Dan says it).
