Both characters have taken impressive physical damage in their careers, so the if the answer is they're even, thats cool.
NOT asking who's taken the most damage, but who seems to feel the damage they DO take, most/least.
Pain tolerance.

Hulk feels the most pain, because Superman is invulnerable.

I forget where I read that Superman doesn't even enjoy his showers because he can't feel the warm water. It was new 52 for sure.

carver9
Superman is more invulnerable but Hulk is more resistant to pain than him. He almost died here...

Hulk has walked around with his brains hanging out the back of his head.

Shouldnt mean he feels no pain. He obviously felt WWs attack.

DarkSaint85
He does feel less pain, because he generally feels less (as seen with the hot showers).

Depends what you mean by 'takes it better'. Hulk' response to pain stimuli is to get madder and angrier, and thus, stronger.

Superman would probably stoically fight on.

In essence it seems like what is being asked is who has the greater willpower.

If that is the case, I guess probably Superman should win.

Appreciate the input, DS. Food for thought (for me).

As an aside, that shower scene (Googled & found it) is retarded BTW.
I much preferred Byrne's take on it (cant find it though), where he was invulnerable but could still feel a shower, even if he did have to turn the hot water on full blast.
I find it very dehumanizing towards the character.

carver9
Sure Hulk couldn't feel a shower as well. Don't understand the concept behind what they are trying to say here.

riv6672
I've never heard Hulk say it, so, i'm not attributing that bit of (imo) bad writing to him.

Thats the second time today ive read that here (first time i thought it referred to a car's clearance), what's the joke if you dont mind explaining, DS?

DarkSaint85
For me, it means the joke is to easy to make.

Carver's lack of understanding is....at this point in time, it's almost cruel to mock him for it.

riv6672
Gotcha. Thanks for that!

If Superman can't feel a shower...what exactly does he feel when he bangs Lois?

I can see not getting burned, but if Superman lacks the ability to even tell if water is hot or cold...that sounds like a horrible existence.
