There are a growing number of East Asians, mainly the oriental Nepalese, think that the historical Buddha was oriental in origin because he was born in Nepal.
Now back then, in ancient times, there was no India or Nepal. The South Asian subcontinent was run by different castes composed of different ruling Indo-Aryan/Dravidian tribes.
