Ulik gets his pounders. Fights in the middle of a non crowded city. Cars, buses and shiit all around.

CosmicComet
These class 100 behemoths need an indestructible planet to fight on.

Bentley
Thing wins decisively despite Ulik's best efforts to stay on the fight.

Damborgson
Ulik takes him to school. Heart force prolongs the beating.

h1a8
Thing but barely

Horrificus
Ulik is out of thing's league. Able to hang with Thor, even without his metal pounders, while Thor keeps the hammer.
Im pretty sure he might haven beaten Thor at one point

Thor has stated he holds back for fear of killing.

leonidas
thing would hang for a while but the pounders are a def edge here. without i would likely take ben. with i think it's enough edge to take ulik. this isn't a mismatch at all.

One pounder cracked on War Thor's beard.

Either WT is tough as hell or uru is just shitty as f*ck when not enchanted?

Asgardian Wanking because of upcoming Thor movie release.

Having said that, Ulik still wins.

Thor's older stories had battles that sometimes went on for multiple books. And, with opponents who just would not go down, (before being sissified for the sake of marketing other characters), Thor did not hold back. Ulik was one of those opponents.

"To the Death", says Thor.

Thier arms clash, but Thor is the one that got hurt.

Thor states that Ulik's strength is equal to his own.

Ulik beats the hammer out of Thor's hand.

https://ibb.co/cXRvx5 sadly, the point still stands. Thor is undeniably above the thing and ulik can hang with and even push Thor. Ben loses, but not horribly. As a matter of fact, Ulik probably salutes Ben for making it such a good fight and standing his ground even when he knew he was going to lose.

This could have been Ben's greatest victory on Kmc sad

Classic Thor was highly inconsistent. He was weak as shit at times. Ulik was stated by Marvel editors to be around Things level. Thing with pounders would have given Thor one hell of a fight too.

Currently, Thor has one shot Ulik and straight embarrassed him. There levels are not even remotely close.

Nope, he's gotten smashed to the ground and barely recovered.

Currently, Thor has one shot Ulik and straight embarrassed him. There levels are not even remotely close. most of his early fights with Thor he did not have the pounders. He was either barehanded, or he had a generic metal club.

Ulik has a large number of good showings against Thor and a potential win, whetr Odin had to come in and save Thor by banishing Ulik.

Regardless if what might have been said, one time, by "Marvel", (whoever THAT is referring to), about Ulik only being as strong as Thing, there are many, many showings of Ulik taking Thor'attacks without flinching or even slowing down, while hurting Thor, putting him on the ground, with on-panel statements placing Ulik at Thor's level.

"Inconsistant"? Hell yeah.
"Deppowered" in more recent appearances? Of course. Just like ALL the old heavy-hitters.

But these r the facts-

1. Ben never has and never would b able to go against Thor, take the same punishment and give the same punishment as Ulik has.

2. Ulik has far too many good showings against Thor, numbers-wise, to b ignored.

3. Damage done, damage received, durability, strength and suppoting panels and comments, place Ulik in a high tier. Even with losses to Thor and recent low showings. Ulik has the numbers in his favor.

Ben is one of my favorite characters and I have many posts in this forum, where i complain about how he has never been allowed to advance in power or showings. I'm just dealing with the facts.

Never say never, he's done great on two occasions. He'd probably dislocate your jaw and rape your butt if he saw this lie of a post.

They both were about 90 tons. So they were peers.

If Thor operated at weak levels at times then I don't see why Thing couldn't hang with him or even beat him.

You keep assuming Thor was operating at a high level when he fought Ulik. Ulik was listed at 90 tons or so.

Thing had several good fights with Hulk and even Hulk outclassed Thor before.

Ive been waiting for Ben ta get some payback. Maybe become a student of Ironfist, stuff a cosmic cube up his arse and get nice and boozed up.

THAT is what im waiting for.

THAT is what im waiting for. nope. I like ben just the way he is; a high end B-lister that hangs with people because of his inability to give up.

Ulik wins.

Everytime a Thor with any motivation fighted Thing it was a one or two shot battle.

Unfortunately, the companies dont pump a lot of resources intio guys like Ben. And i would really like to c more stories centered in him. ESPECIALLY if he is an underdog in the story.

Hell, when Guy Gardner lost everything and went after the yellow ring, as a "regular guy", I enjoyed that story a lot.

vansonbee
I place Ulik on a higher scale than Thing, since the troll is a Thor villain.

Don't recall much fights between Thing and Thor in Things favor either. Ben Grim is a brick who needs teammates to back him up.
