Mark on Canon vs Legends Luke

I think this radical change can be explained by the desire of the studio to surprise the viewer with something new. A lot of books, comic books and games were published on Star Wars, my son got acquainted with most of them and told how strong Luke was in them. So much so that, perhaps, with the help of the Force, you can control a dozens lightsabers simultaneously. I remember thinking that if they decide to show it like that in the new episodes, then I do not have to do anything at all - I'll just have to stand before the green screen and wave with my hands, and the rest will be painted with the help of computer effects. And then, when I offered some ideas, I was often told that it was already in a book or a comic book. And the studio wanted to show Luke the way he had never been seen before.

Interesting stuff.

DarthAnt66
I gotta love Mark's innocence using TKing twelve lightsabers as the peak example of Force power.

Unbowed
Wait until he hears about Luke rebuilding Vader's fortress. Anyway, Krayt > Luke.

Shows how the Force was meant to be portrayed, based on the movies lol...until the EU went and made the Force some absurdly powerful planet/galaxy level stuff

XSUPREMEXSKILLZ
I think Mark meant Trakata'ing 12 lightsabers, kek.

Well technically Vader's line in ANH kinda set the bar imo.

"The ability to destroy a planet, is insignificant next to the power of The Force."

I mean he could have been boasting, but when it's said that The Force is the thing that holds the entire galaxy together and that Force Users can manipulate such a thing, then it's not so absurd.

I guess. But nothing even close to that level of power is shown or even really implied in the movies aside from that one line, so that's just how I've viewed it.

Well the movies were more about story than showing off powers or fighting from what I figured. I mean it's not really contradicted either, it's just not shown, doesn't mean it can't be there still.

Plus Sidious did say in ROTJ "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen." Which implies that he saw everything that happened up until his death, also feeling a great disturbance in The Force from Luke when they were lightyears apart as did Vader.

Among other things I'm sure from the movies, sure not really combat related, but still.

kek The Force keeps the universe in balance. Planet/galaxy level is pretty pathetic. thumb up

Though, plant level is pretty much the peak for most Force users, barring the Ones of course.

Naga sadows crusier didn't tear a Rip in the fabric of the universe, when it ripped out that Star core. Ones are above that, sort of an indicator at their power.

Is this Sheev before or after his power increased 6.8 million times because he was an accumulator?
