The setting wants us believe that Yoda is wise and to be respected but frankly his track record sucks dick. The Jedi became complacent and stagnant under his leadership. He wasn't wise enough to prevent Anakin's fall nor detect the Sith Lord right under his nose. He wasn't powerful enough to defeat Sideous, he was wrong about Vader being redeemable- killing him as Yoda desired would have been the catalyst that turned Luke to the dark side.

A total ****-up from start to finish.
