Nah. Goes against Lucas confirming Anakin indeed is the chosen one as said in the ROTS comnentary.

Are you kidding me, right?

It was plainly suggested in movies, by Palpatine, that Anakin was the creation of Plagueis.
It was based on midi-chlorians that they thought he was the Chosen One.
It makes perfect sense.

Instead of some shrouding the light side bulls**t explanation; this would sound logical. The whole meditation plot s**s.

Plagueis can alter midi-chlorians in the novel, but he can't 'create' life? This goes in contradiction to what Palpatine said about Plagueis' ability to create life.

Anakin was conceived by the Force, not the Sith.

That's officially stated in every high-ranking source.

Yeah, Anakin was conceived by the Force in response to Plagueis' machinations. He wasn't the direct result of Plagueis' efforts.

That fits in with what we know which is that Anakin is literally sired by the Force itself. Up to then, all we had for Plagueis creating life anyway was Palpatine's word in RotS, and he's hardly the most reliable.

Freedon Nadd
Plagueis can create Anakin per the Force's will.
