Aaron designed him as literally the ultimate judgement of the Gods.

I think the average Gods from Asgard are above the average denizens of Apokolips, However, Apokolips should be far bigger and wins by sheer numbers.

Darkseid is a transcendent level character, going up against the top skyfather in Marvel, a guy who nukes galaxies and goes up against Galactus himself while holding his own. Canonically to DC, Galactus is superior to Darkseid, that is how DC views it.

The average Asgardian is also physically superior to the average Apokolipian, but Apokolips has guns so by default they win by shooting the Asgardians.

So in the end, it comes down to Odin vs DS, and Odin should win

The New Gods (in general) are multiversal gods, as pointed out several times. The olympians and Asgardians aren't on their level.

In the first instance, Superman suckerpunched Darkseid and only drew a bit of blood before Darkseid simply teleported away.

Second instance, Darkseid was hit by his own omega beams.

Odin wasn't weakened when he fought Jane. And calling it Aaron force doesn't makes it any less humiliating.
