As the title suggests.

In the pool choose the option that represents your real life education level.

Multiple options allowed (see bonus options).

Be honest. We don't want people claiming fake PhDs here. Only the real deal.

I'll start. I myself am a huble PhD in Philosophy and Socio-Cultural studies with a side degree in Psychology. Currently I am pursuing international projects on the theory of memetics and analytical storytelling.

Well, so far I'm in high school, but I do plan to go to college when I finish.

JKBart
im on my final year of law university

Kurk
I'm a freshman in university with vocational training as an EMT.

Leaning to major in chemistry; possible minor/double major in computer science. Might go on to law school at some point, although it's financial suicide here in the USA.

I'm pretty anti-academia, so going through bullshit for more bullshit is a huge mental struggle. That reminds me:

BS: Bullshit
MS: More shit
PhD: Piled higher and deeper in shit

I second that thumb up

Nephthys
University was fantastic.

JKBart
ah, i also selected "masters", since law studies aren't divided into bachelor and masters. it's 5 years, from nobody to masters diploma

legit planning PhD later, tho yeah, i know, i will prolly fail etc

JKBart
ah, nice. in Poland it goes like this all the time:

- Bachelor - 3 years
- Masters - 2 additional years
- PhD - obviously dependent

now, in case of law it's not divided into two steps. 5 years, masters.
Same with medicine. 6 years of studies, and the masters equivalent (it's called "physician of medicine" basically)

Yeah with the cost of tuition I'd really prefer your system.

Why do you want a PhD? Are you going to gain market value? If not I'm going to have to mark you as a liberal academic snowflake with zero life skills.

JKBart
wont improve the market value
it will be just an addition to normal life and normal job in the field lol, i want a phd because i like law as a research field, i want to do it for hobby, not to escape normal job smile

The cheapest public law-school tuition where I live would come out to be close to $90,000 when it's all said and done. Go to a private school and it's more like $150,000. If it's not for market value, then it's a hobby. And how much you're willing to spend on a hobby is up to you. Have fun with it smile

Why won't ILS list some of his credentials here?

JKBart
tutitions for PhDs are actually cheap as **** over here, imma need to pay like 4000 PLN a year, nothing terrible

Indeed. It's managable.

On top of that, there is a plethora of PhD studies offfered for free within the public university system. Depends on the field, really. You can come across some gems.

Honestly, it depends on your specialization. I think Law is a very specific field, similar to Medicine, for instance. Other example would be Polish software engineers and IT specialists. They are among the best in the world and some get great offers even before graduation. Obviously picked up by Western and international companies.

On the other hand, I know many cases in which a PhD degree increases a market value in Poland. One of my acquaintances from the program got a very lucrative offer in one of the bigger international companies in here simply because he can boast a PhD.

That's pretty cool dude. You could become a patent agent/attorney after gaining some work experience and make a killing $$$
