There might not be but AoA sinister hardly has any tp feats, so it's an instant loss vs Black.

I think it's pretty reasonable to put them on an average to low tier of the characters showings unless something changes. Being strong enough to fight with Thor for example would be reasonable I think for a character who does that. Being able to beat Thor or beat the shit out of Thor should be out of the reach.

They lack the "What is that stuff MADE of ?!?" Feats that make a hero stand out.

That's how I see it anyway.

Well, my reasoning is this.

It's an alternative reality. What happened in the alt.reality, by definition, is that it's different.

So maybe this new Hulk is unable to process anger in the same manner as our beloved Hulk. Or ramp up as quickly.

Or even, be weak to radiation:

Whereas 616 Hulk is pretty strong against rads.

Or the Exiles Surfer who could kill Galactus.

Generally, I just point out that the alternate character lacks feats. You don't have to think they lose, but you can't argue for them. At most, we could say "assuming X character is close to their mainstream counterpart, then this." The nature of battleboards means we need uniform standards of evidence, so feats and such reign supreme.

I'd say the whole point of using alternate characters is to see these specific characters doing things unique to them. Why go through the headache of using alternate Thor if you just wanted 616 Thor?

(Again, generally speaking. I can imagine situations where we could get creative.)
