How am I "lowballing" by posting scans of DCnU Atom being beaten via energy-overload..? Historically, CA has ALWAYS had problems containing absorbed energy. This version is/was no exception.

Not necessarily. He was just susceptible to energy manipulators, and Quasar was monstrous at mucking with, or outright shutting down beings composed of energy. The Q-Bands would lock onto an energy signature and shut it down. He shut down Carol Danvers in her Binary form, and she's a mid level energy manipulator.

Post crisis, Force was actually said to be more powerful, in Extreme Justice 19 (Or whatever the last one was.)

Houngan stated that Major Force's increased power was a direct result of "his soul being reforged to his body" -- but 99% of the time, MF is depicted as Atom's inferior across the board. That said, CA was worked repeatedly throughout Extreme Justice... It was sad at times.

Hell, even Maxima damn near overloaded him with a single blast -- and energy attacks aren't even her thing, ffs:

On paper CA should be one of the most powerful characters out there(and there have been a few occasions where he's been used in that capacity.) Most times, however, he's chumped like your average c-lister. ermm
