Wonder Man
What do you think?

Stoic
Not sure about this Hulk. The word "Immortal" in the Immortal Hulk title lead me to assume that there may have been a magical, mystical, or metaphysical force behind his return. Could the Hand have had something to do with this resurrection coupled with Banner's ability to regenerate?

He's strong as hell if we were to remember the way he handled Hercules and Thor.

But....

Overall, the N'Garai aren't much in small packs, unless we were talking about an elder N'Garai, or much worse; a pack of Elders. But the entire race would require more than a High Heralds level of staying power. They'd wipe him out, or he'd have to self BFR. Your choice. He lacks feats ATM.

A single N'Garai demon has given Classic Hulk a run for his money, actually.

Only a real man like Wolverine can deal with entire packs and their boss.

They have different power levels, and being demons make them vulnerable to metals. Elders can be as powerful, or more powerful than elder Wendigos.

Wolverine had no adamantium when he took on the entire horde of them smile

Well then they couldn't have been the more powerful Elders. They do range in power. Some even use powerful magic. I'm not trying to undercut Wolverine, he's one of Marvels most dangerous men on Earth.

That doesn't take away from the fact that N'Garai have differing levels of power, like Wendigos.

Nothing was said about that particular demon who faced the Hulk, for all we know he could've been the lowest of the low.

Wolverine thwarted their plans of invading the Earth and fought the N'Garai leader, too... in his own realm, to boot cool

It was never actually said that Wendigo's power depends on its host, unless it's someone with actual superpowers/magics like the Hulk or Mauvais... all characters fluctuate greatly in comics, because of so many writers over the years.

Comics are the same as other media in one thing; one bad guy is really menacing, but when there's a dozen of them, they fall like flies. N'Garai demons are like Hand ninjas. Or Wendigos. One is formidable enough to go toe to toe with the Hulk, but when there are entire packs of them, they are not so tough.

Is this just Hulk battling an entire dimension of demons until one side falls?

If you believe that Wolverine took these guys on at this guys level, that would mean that you thought that Wolverine was capable of easily defeating that number of Hulks despite getting his butt punted into a forest by one Hulk.

Beyond his level, actually... as he went toe to toe with their ruler as well in the same comic.

Like it or not, it happened.

It's not whether I like it or not, it just doesn't make any sense. If you read their handbook entry it states that they come in a variety of power levels. Ir's exactly the same with the Forgotten Ones, Wendigos, and many other demon races. Not all are equal. That's if you want to make sense of it.

Then again many writers aren't created equally so continuity is often tossed out the window for sake of plot.

Yeah, Kierrok > all other nameless N'Garai... and Wolverine forced him to close his dimensional gate, defer his invasion of the Earth and lick his wounds in his realm smile

Hulk fought a standard N'Garai trooper unit, same as Kitty Pryde did. It's a lesser demon that possesses lower intelligence. Started as a great threat, much like that Xenomorph from Ridley Scott's "Alien" film from 1979... only to get reduced to being a "cannon fodder" type of a villain in later installments.
