Out of all of the team members of the X-Men who is the top 5? I realize eveyone will have a varying list so this should be interesting.

My list:

Colossus
Juggernaut(Depowered)
Namor
Gentle(Implied)
Frenzy

1) Classic Rogue w/Ms. Marvel's powers + Rogue's absorption ability
2) Juggernaut
3) Storm
4) Jean Grey/Rachel Grey (tie)
5) Polaris

out of ALL the people who have ever been x-men? how the hell is depowered juggs one of them...?

legion (he was an x-man for a brief time)
vulcan/mags/rogue

something like that without really digging.

This thread is for the strongest X-Men, not most powerful.

Iceman is pretty strong too once he unleashes, as is Havok off an amp.

sunspot, namor, rogue, then many others are too close to call. gentle maybe, and danger.

I put them in that order because of favoritism. I like characters that tend to be more capable of doing more than being really strong. Warpath is likely as strong or stronger than the Thing by now, he can fly, he has crazy regen, nearly indestructible, and can still take part in stealth missions. He should get his own comic series.

Sunspot at max power is definitely one of the strongest, if not *the* strongest. But it's iffy, as his power is literally killing him when left unchecked.

Marvel tries (too) hard to make Sunspot and other New Mutants sell. Hardly the first time they are experimenting with Costa's powerset.

New Mutants never really appealed to me. Nice scans though.

Not a big fan of them either.

The first three physical powerhouses of the X-Men I think of are Namor, Classic Rogue and Colossus... but I'm sure they've got plenty of more strong guys (no pun intended).

Like Gentle who got mentioned in the OP. But he's same as Sunspot, as his own power is a threat to his life.

1. James Braddock Jr.
2. HoM Wanda
3. Mad Jim Jaspers
4. Franklin Richards (potentially #1 with his future self, needs more feats/showings)
5. White Crown of the Phoenix Jean Grey

I don't dislike them, I was just always more of a "main team" kind of guy. All those spin-off X-Books never really caught my interest. Like the Young X-Men stuff too. Not bad or anything, just not my thing.

Monet is all over the place, but I don't recall her being class 100. She's more durable than strong iirc.

I'm sure there are more. And some characters are hard to quantify, as they're about more than just physical strength.

I dunno. I mean, you can only dilute something so much before it loses its potency.

The reality warpers like the Phoenix are surely stronger than some loser scrubs like Namor etc....
I mean, sure strength isn't their primary power, but when you can literally eat suns, you can surely warp reality to make yourself lift 1 billion tons or whatever.
