Which character can repeat this Byrne era Superman feat?

https://image.ibb.co/cYjdUz/C1717_C95_924_D_492_D_B7_ED_715_A494_F0_B19.jpg

This includes digging the complex out of the ground.

ShadowFyre
Hype, Glads, and Thor easily replicate it as this is on the low end of superman feats. Thor recently stopped a city made of gold and flew it to the the sun. Hype lifted Atlantis and stopped an entire planet. No idea who Ethan Edwards is

That was Jane. I don't see why Odinson can't replicate though.

ShadowFyre
That she did with Thor's power set.

Regardless, were talking about a small building.. Ben grim or colossus could replicate this minus the flight part

And the HV part. But then, not all GLs have Hal Jordan's feats (despite having the same powerset). Supergirl doesn't get Superman's etc etc.

Uhh.. That looks like a large chunk of real estate. That's asily more than jus a small building.

DarkSaint85
Ben 'I max out at 80 tons' wouldn't be able to do that lol.

I thought it was a small island, personally. Not just a small building.

ShadowFyre
Bens held up a skyscraper before.

DarkSaint85
This?

Wasn't *quite* a skyscraper, it's still heavy as phuck lol, but not an actual building, which isn't just steel and glass.

ShadowFyre
For some reason your pic loads right up but the original in the op does not. I distinctly remember a truck being in the picture and the area in question not being that huge compared to it.

DarkSaint85
You remember correctly!

ShadowFyre
Yeah. The first panel and the others are completely different. Going by the first panel is not very impressive. That would be a very very tiny island. Sorry, when it comes to guys who can shatter planets with shockwaves of their blows, catch entire planets moving 500,000 mph I just don't see lifting an small island that impressive.

It is not a strength ft. Read the scan. Superman in those scans admits that flying helps him lift things. Great scan and thanks.

Make great use of it, my chocolate herald.

byrdgang21
Hype, Glads & Blue Marvel should be able to with no problem. Strength isnt an issue as all the characters have similar if not more impressive. The problem would be holding the land mass together without it collapsing. I cab see Glads and Hype doing that with their version of heat vision. BM I'd imagine could do it with some form of his anti matter power. Idk how Thor does that, tbh?

ShadowFyre
He held together a moon/planetoid with lightning and strength. He could use lightning to heat the sand I guess.

celeyhyga17
He could just carve it out.

That wasn't totally the implied purpose of the thread, what would be of us without the scandaddy? thumb up

Shows fine for me. Switch to a different browser.

Sometimes removing the "s" from https works, too.

Make great use of it, my chocolate herald. The Chocolate Butcher is his serial killer name. Apparently he hangs them by their hands and feet and drains the blood out their anus. All bodies are found missing a right pinky toe (the very toe Carver9toes lost as a wee lad) and their penis.

Police are baffled, and they caution males of all ages to travel with a friend.

Thanks. That worked like a charm.

ShadowFyre
Well of course Hype and Glads could replicate the feat considering they have virtually the exact same power set...almost everything they lift should crumble apart. Weird that they cared just that one time to mention it.

He's a Superman parody from Marvel. He's around Super Skrull level (according to the writer and on panel showings). I had a respect thread for him, I think it's dead though (no thanks to Imageshack).

StiltmanFTW
More powerful than SS, you mean.

According to writer intent, yes. But on panel he was about Super Skrull level, IMHO. Loved the way he trashed the New Avengers : Cage, Iron Man, Spider Woman, Spider Man, Cap, etc...

StiltmanFTW
+ Wolverine.

That's NOT Super Skrull level; it's way above that.

OK. That team looks pretty badass and I've never seen them before. I really wish I had the time to keep up with comics and other hobbies like some of you guys and girls. Every time I have to much time on my hands though I end up in trouble.

StiltmanFTW
You haven't missed much, they were stomped by Avengers. Disappointing arc consisting of two issues.

You know, you can just read them instead of posting here... stick out tongue

riv6672
Ah, Ethan Edwards, a real 70s throwback.

Blue Marvel easily replicates the feat, and does easier than any of the others.

Thanks for the Bump.

Easier than Thor maybe due to the lifting then flying part, but easier than Hype or Gladz? If anything those 3 replicate the feat almost to the tee and with basically no discernable differences.

Perhaps, but BM has a force field, which imo makes it easier for him, as well as having a far superior intellect.

celeyhyga17
I don't think u can use forcefield. It's pretty much dig, fuse, lift, then fly it away.

riv6672
The FF would help w. lift & fly away depending how versatile it is to use.

TheHulkster
Blue Marvel has surpassed that feat:

riv6672
Forgot about that.

Mindship
I would guess that the whole shebang (small building + chunk of supporting ground) probably weighs waayyy less than a New York skyscraper (about 300-400 kilo-tons): easy-peasy for a high herald brick.
